Keuntungan bersih Indosat tahun ini menurun hingga lebih dari US$68 juta atau sekitar 56% di tahun 2010 dibandingkan 2009, ujar Direktur Indosat, Harry Sasongko Tirtotjondro. Harry menuding ketidakstabilan kurs valuta asing di Indonesia dari IDR ke USD sebagai penyebabnya, terlihat dari peningkatan sebesar 5% dari aliran pemasukan mereka, sedikit di atas US$2 miliar.

Bisnis seluler mereka juga memperoleh pemasukan 12%, hingga US$1.8 miliar yang diperoleh dari 44 juta pelanggan ponsel yang menggunakan produk mobile mereka. Harry juga mengumumkan bahwa berdasarkan Rapat Umum Pemegang Saham, jabatan Direktur Keuangan mereka kini dipegang oleh Curt Stefan Carlsson, setelah Peter Kuncenwicz yang telah berada di posisi tersebut selama dua tahun mengundurkan diri.

Indosat’s net profit this year declined more than US$68 million or around 56% in 2010 compared to 2009, said Director Harry Sasongko Tirtotjondro earlier today. Harry blamed the instability of foreign exchange rates of Indonesia’s IDR to USD, justified by the 5% increase from their revenue stream, just slightly over US$2 billion.

Their cellular business also gaining 12% in revenue to US$1.8 billion collected from over 44 million cellphone subscriber using their mobile products and services. Harry also announced that based on the shareholder meeting, the Finance Director position is now run by Curt Stefan Carlsson, after the resignation of former director Peter Kuncenwicz whose been in the position for the last 2 years.
