SuWec Meetup Kembali Hadir Dengan Tajuk “Surabaya Digital Heroes”

Beberapa hari yang lalu, saya di-invite di Facebook oleh grup suWec (Surabaya Web Community) untuk acara besok hari Sabtu tanggal 4 Juni 2011. Acara kali ini bertajuk “Surabaya Digital Heroes”, yang akan mengundang beberapa pembicara dari Surabaya yang menjadi pemenang dibeberapa kompetisi industri digital di Indonesia.

Acara ini akan diselenggarakan di Arena FKI – Grand City Surabaya dan akan dimulai pada Pukul 10.45 – 12.45 WIB. Pembicara kali ini adalah Diaz Hendri pemenang IWIC 2010, David Y Santoso pemenang Indigo Fellow Awards 2010, dan Kemas Dimas Ramanditya pemenang IMULAI 3.0.

Mobile Development Day Event and A Little Story on Internet/Mobile Market in Medan – Indonesia

Last Saturday, not only in Yogyakarta, but in Medan was also enlivened by a various events related to technology world and Internet. At least there are 3 events that I know, Medan Mobile Game Development Day sponsored by Nokia, Android event and idbloglicious roadshow which was held by idBlognetwork.

Unfortunately for the event associated with Android I did not have the info and was not present at the event, while for two other events, I had the opportunity to stop by and talk with the organizers.

For Mobile Development Day event, the event was organized by the local committee of the WebMedia, a computer training service provider, website development and IT solutions. The event was attended by 400 participants from various backgrounds, ranging from students, vocational, practitioners and the general public. The event held at the Hotel Madani, Gelora Ballroom, Jl. Sisingamangaraja no. 1 – Medan was presenting five speakers include Narenda Wicaksono – Developer Manager of Nokia Development, Kresna Dewantara – Chief Technical Officer of Armanovus Indonesia, Yuandra I. and Paramitha H. – Winner of Mobile Game DevWar Bandung, Firstman M – President of NICE, Shieny Aprillia – COO Agate Studio dan Erick Kurniawan – Co-founder NICE.

1st Gamelan Meetup – Jogja and INAICTA 2011 Public Announcement

Gamelan – Jogja’s GameDev Startup community, held its very first meetup on Friday, on May 27th 2011. The event was quite enthusiastically welcomed by its participants that come from game developers, be it business personages, programmers, artists, composers, as well as students. In the event, there was public announcement of INAICTA 2011 too. This first Gamelan meetup was supported by ADGY (Asosiasi Developer Game Yogyakarta or Yogyakarta’s Game Developer Association), IGDA (International Game Developer Association), DEPKOMINFO, dan Wisely Management.

The speakers in the event that was held in Potret Cafe, Jl. Anggajaya III – Taman Kuliner, Condong Catur, Sleman were Frida Dewi (UB Games), Kris Antoni (Toge Production), then followed by a public announcement of INAICTA 2011 and then some sharing sessions from some of previous INAICTA’s winners. There was this interesting “five minutes session”, in which some local developers demonstrated, presented, their work or product only in five minutes.

Event Report: SparxUp Seminar and IDBYTE Roadshow 2011 in Yogyakarta

Last weekend Yogyakarta was enlivened with various events related to the world of technology and startup, DailySocial recorded at least there were 3 events held on Friday until Saturday. Here’s a brief coverage of two events held on Friday and Saturday in Yogyakarta.

Yogyakarta – SparxUp Seminar “Monetizing Mobile Advertising Age”

Last Friday, May 27, 2011 was held the SparxUp Seminar event in cooperation with Bancakan 2.0 and assisted by HIMAKOM friends at the University Club University of Gadjah Mada. Presenting the theme “Monetizing Mobile Advertising Age. ”

At the SparxUp Seminar this time, there was an additional speaker Leonard Augustinus – Indonesia Account Manager, Mobile Advertising Google as one of the main speakers. The next keynote speaker was Edo Pamungkas – Mobile Platform Manager from Merah Putih Incubator and one guest speakers namely Sigit Purnomo – Founder of Personaflag.com (Winner of SparxUp Awards for Mobile Category).

1st Meetup Gamelan dan Sosialisasi INAICTA 2011

Gamelan – Komunitas Startup GameDev Jogja, menyelenggarakan meetup perdananya hari Jumat tanggal 27 Mei 2011 kemarin, acara ini disambut dengan cukup antusias oleh para peserta yang berkecimpung di dunia pengembangan permainan (game dev), baik itu dari pelaku bisnis, programmer, artist, composer, maupun mahasiswa. Di event ini sekaligus ada sosialisasi tentang INAICTA 2011. Meetup perdana Gamelan kali ini didukung oleh ADGY (Asosiasi Developer Game Yogyakarta), IGDA (International Game Developer Association), DEPKOMINFO, dan Wisely Management.

Pembicara pada acara yang diselenggarakan di Potret Cafe, Jln Anggajaya III – Taman Kuliner, Condong Catur, Sleman ini adalah Frida Dwi (UB Games), Kris Antoni (Toge Production), kemudian sosialisasi tentang INAICTA 2011 dan ada sharing beberapa para pemenang INAICTA di tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Kemudian yang menarik ada “five minutes session”, yaitu sesi beberapa pelaku lokal mendemokan, mempresentasikan, karya atau produk mereka hanya dalam waktu lima menit.

Finalists of Chip-Nokia Mobile Game Developer War

Chip-Nokia Mobile Game Developer War is entering final stage and will be held on June 4, 2011 in Jakarta. The event will present local game developers and is supported by Agate Studio, DigiGames, HotGame and DailySocial.

After 2 qualification rounds, now they have all the finalists they need. Previously committee provided opportunity for 3 additional finalists to complete the 6 finalists from 2 Mobile Game Developer War held in Bandung and Jogja.

The 3 finalists will compete against each other with other 6 finalists for a total of Rp 60 million Grand Prizes, by presenting their game application with live coding if they pass stage one.

Event Report: SparxUp Seminar dan Roadshow IDBYTE 2011 di Jogja

Akhir pekan kemarin kota Jogja dimeriahkan dengan berbagai acara yang berkaitan dengan dunia teknologi dan startup, DailySocial mencatat setidaknya ada 3 event yang diselenggarakan hari Jumat sampai hari Sabtu. Berikut liputan singkat dari dua acara yang diselenggarakan hari Jumat dan Sabtu di kota Jogja.

Jogja – SparxUp Seminar “Monetizing Advertising Mobile Era”

Hari Jumat, 27 Mei 2011 kemarin, diselenggarakan acara SparxUp Seminar yang bekerja sama dengan Bancakan 2.0 dan dibantu rekan-rekan HIMAKOM di University Club Universitas Gadjah Mada. Menghadirkan tema “Monetizing Advertising Mobile Era”.

SparxUp Seminar kali ini ternyata ada tambahan pembicara yaitu Leonard Agustinus – Account Manager Indonesia, Mobile Advertising Google sebagai salah satu pembicara utama. Inilah Daftar Peserta Tahap Final Acara Chip-Nokia Mobile Game Developer War

Acara Chip-Nokia Mobile Game Developer War yang telah memasuki tahap final dan akan diselenggarakan pada tanggal 4 Juni 2011 di Jakarta. Acara yang menampilkan para pengembang game lokal ini juga didukung oleh Agate Studio, DigiGames, HotGame dan juga DailySocial.

Setelah panitia mengadakan dua tahap kualifikasi untuk memilih 3 pemenang, kini jumlah para finalis telah lengkap. Sebelumnya panitia membuka kesempatan untuk 3 finalis tambahan yang akan melengkapi 6 finalis dari dua acara Mobile Game Developer War yang telah diadakan di Bandung dan Jogja.

Tiga finalis ini akan bertanding bersama dengan 6 finalis lainnya untuk memperebutkan hadiah utama yang totalnya berjumlah 60 juta rupiah. Para peserta akan saling bersaing dan mempresentasikan aplikasi permainan mereka, lengkap dengan sesi live coding jika mereka lolos seleksi tahap satu.

Event: Stasion Internal Meetup #3

Setelah kemarin menggelar workshop rutin yang kedua dengan tema Inovasi “Digital Economy & Entrepreneurial Mindset Digital”. Stasion, komunitas startup dari Kota Malang ini menggelar salah satu programnya yaitu Stasion Internal Meetup (pertemuan rutin oleh para anggota setiap bulan – kopdar. Sebagai tambahan informasi Stasion juga memiliki milis untuk para anggotanya).

“Sejak Stasion berdiri 26 Maret 2011, kita sudah mengadakan Internal Meetup 3x ini (dengan hari Sabtu besok) dan Stasion Workshop sudah 2 kali (yang terakhir tgl 18 Mei kemarin)”, tegas Rivandi M (@montazze) dari Stasion via email.

Jogja’s Events This Weekend: SparxUp Seminar, Gamelan, and IDBYTE

Jogja will be a merrier city by this weekend thanks to three startup events. SparxUp Seminar on May 27, 2011 at University Club Gadjah – Mada University, and on the same day there will be GameDev StartUp Community Jogja – Gamelan launching at Potret Cafe, Taman Kuliner Condong Catur, Sleman. On Saturday May 28, 2011 IDBYTE will be held at STIMIK AMIKOM.

As for SparxUp, last March the seminar was held in Yogya on “Technology Trends for Digital”. This month’s SparxUp theme will be the same like FOWAB‘s theme recently, “Monetizing Mobile Advertising Era”. SparxUp Jogja this time collaborates with Bancakan 2.0 and will be assisted by friends from HIMAKOM.

The speakers will be Edo Pamungkas – Mobile Platform Manager from Merah Putih Incubator and one guest speaker Sigit Purnomo – Founder Personaflag.com (winner of SparxUp 2010for Mobile Category). The event will be held on May 27, 2011 at University Club Universitas Gadjah Mada, Jalan Pancasila No.2 Bulaksumur, Yogyakarta on 19.00-22.00 WIB.
