iPad as a mean of gaming is ogled by developers in the country. This time, Garuda Games which once mesmerize the audience with SteamOps game, released Steampunk Warrior. Steampunk Warrior is a Top Down Shooter game where the hero (an agent) is struggling with suspicious activities committed by the rebels. Garuda Games is fronted by Firman Nurimansyah who is also the founder of Lapar.com.

A variety of weapons is available and can be used depending on the amount of money earned. There are three large maps in this game: Harbor, Dam and Workshop – each area will be devided into six smaller combat zones. It is promising to be a new favorite game, let alone the game is offered for free of charge/free to download and there is no in-app purchase inside it – even though in-app purchase feature could be an attractive alternative income for the Steampunk Warrior.

Unfortunately, as someone who wanted to try playing the game on first generation of iPad, I have to get disappointed because this application can’t even get into the battle area. Every time I select an area on the map, an error occurs. It seems that Steampunk Warrior is opmitized for iPad 2 (and third generation of iPad) and this is confirmed by Firman. User of first generation of iPad has to be patient to wait for the update.

iPad sebagai sarana permainan makin dilirik oleh pengembang di tanah air. Kali ini Garuda Games, yang sempat memukau khalayak dengan permainan SteamOps, merilis Steampunk Warrior. Steampunk Warrior adalah permainan Top Down Shooter, di mana sang jagoan (seorang agen) berjibaku untuk dengan aktivitas mencurigakan yang dilakukan oleh kaum pemberontak. Garuda Games sendiri digawangi oleh Firman Nurimansyah, yang juga merupakan founder Lapar.com.

Tersedia bermacam-macam senjata yang bisa digunakan tergantung dengan jumlah uang yang diperoleh. Dalam permainan ini terdapat 3 peta besar, Harbor, Dam, dan Workshop — di mana tiap-tiap area tersebut akan terbagi menjadi enam daerah pertempuran yang lebih kecil. Sungguh menjanjikan untuk menjadi permainan favorit baru, apalagi permainan ini ditawarkan secara gratis/bebas unduh dan tidak ada in-app purchase di dalamnya — meskipun fitur in-app purchase bisa menjadi alternatif pendapatan yang menarik bagi Steampunk Warrior.
