Imagine Cup 2013, ajang kompetisi teknologi bagi para pelajar yang digelar Microsoft Indonesia kini memasuki babak final. Tiga tim terbaik dari kategori Games, Innovation, dan World Citizenship bertarung pada final yang diselenggarakan pada 12 April 2013 mendatang. Selanjutnya, tim yang keluar sebagai pemenang akan mendapat kehormatan mewakili Indonesia, bergabung dengan pemenang dari negara lain untuk berkompetisi di Worldwide Finals pada Juli mendatang di St. Petersburg, Rusia. User Uses Telunjuk for Android Smartphone’s Survey

Telunjuk is apparently not only used for comparing cell phone sold online. Smartphone potential user also uses Telunjuk’s service to help them in choosing what kind of smartphone they will buy. This is proven by the data of Telunjuk usage in June 2012.

70% of Telunjuk user which entails operating system in the search parameter puts Android in it. This is done apparently because said Telunjuk user wants to buy Android smartphone, but not sure about the brand and type. They use Telunjuk search result as a consideration.

This is not happening for other operating system because other operating systems are usually related to one brand. For example: BlackBerry OS with BlackBerry, Windows Mobile with Nokia and iOS with Apple. This kind of user who is looking for such smartphone usually directly put the keywords or brand in the search parameter.

After Androif, most searched operating system is the Symbian (9,7%), Windows-based (1,8%) and iOS (1%).

Flickr Rilis ‘Trend Report’ Untuk Bulan Maret, iPhone 4 Tetap Jadi Kamera Paling Populer

Kami baru saja menerima laporan dari Flickr yang menampilkan tren untuk bulan Maret 2012. Seperti yang ada di banyak rilis, laporan ini menampilkan angka-angka yang menakjubkan. Sayangnya kami tidak memiliki angka dari layanan lain yang bisa digunakan sebagai perbandingan, namun data dari Flickr menunjukkan bahwa Flickr masih memiliki angka yang cukup mengesankan. Sebenarnya akan lebih menarik jika laporan ini menyertakan perbandingan periodik untuk data perbulan dan pertahun.

Sebagai salah satu layanan sharing foto paling populer, selalu menarik untuk melihat perkembangan yang sedang terjadi di Flickr dan bagaimana kinerja mereka di bawah bayang-bayang serangan Facebook, Twitter, dan Instagram. Sebagai layanan foto yang termasuk paling lama, cukup menyedihkan melihat bahwa Flickr tidak melakukan inovasi yang berarti untuk menghadapi tantangan dari pesaing walaupun mereka tetap bertahan. Flickr baru-baru ini merestrukturisasi penawaran keanggotaan mereka dan merancang ulang halaman kontak. Beberapa perubahan lain dikatakan akan hadir sebelum tahun ini berakhir.

Flickr Releases Trend Report for March, iPhone 4 Remains Top Camera

We have just received Yahoo’s Flickr trend report for March 2012. As with most releases, it contains some amazing looking numbers. Unfortunately we haven’t got numbers handy for other services to compare to but looking at the ones from Flickr, they still show a pretty impressive stature. What we would love to see though is some periodical comparison of the same numbers on a monthly and yearly basis.

As one of the most popular photo sharing sites, it’s always fascinating to find out what is going on at Flickr and how it’s performing under the increasing onslaught of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Being one of the oldest photo sites, it’s disheartening to see that the site hasn’t innovated enough to keep up with the challenges but it is chugging along. It recently restructured its membership offering and redesigned the contacts page. More changes are said to be coming before the end of the year.
