Directory App Darisini to Drop Support For iOS 4

Indonesian mobile directory app Darisini announced that it will drop support for iOS 4 for its upcoming update. This decision perhaps came from discovering that a large majority of its users are already on iOS 5 and that it’s worth dropping support for iOS 4 for the sake of being able to take advantage of frameworks and services that are available only from iOS 5 onwards.

Darisini Updates its iOS App; Better Category Management and Augmented Reality

Location based venue search app, DariSini, renewed its app (version two) for iOS platform. Aplikasi pencarian venue berbasiskan lokasi, Darisini, memperbarui aplikasinya (versi dua) untuk platform iOS. Updates on the large includes UI updates, more complete and organized categories, personalized data and augmented reality beta version. Codenamed “Merapi”, DariSini team focuses on iOS platform and mentions that they are not going to update the Android version, at least in the near future.

Darisini Rilis Versi Baru untuk iOS, Manajemen Kategori yang Lebih Baik dan Percobaan Augmented Reality

Aplikasi pencarian venue berbasiskan lokasi, Darisini, memperbarui aplikasinya (versi dua) untuk platform iOS. Pembaruan yang dilakukan cukup besar, termasuk pembaruan tampilan UI, kategori yang lebih lengkap dan lebih tertata, personalisasi data dan versi beta augmented reality. Diberi kodenama “Merapi”, tim Darisini memfokuskan diri untuk platform iOS dan menyebutkan belum akan memperbarui versi Android-nya dalam waktu dekat.

Local Directory App Darisini Launches On Android

Darisini, a directory app for mobile devices, recently announced that its Android version is already available on Google Play. This app received very positive responses when it was launched on iOS and within one week of the launch, the app managed to place itself in the top ten free app category on the Indonesian App Store.

Some time ago, Amir interviewed Thomas Arie Setiawan – one of Darisini app developers which at that time was available only for iOS. In the interview, Setiawan said he and his team was already working on the Android version of the app. Now, several weeks later, the app is available from Google Play.

Basically, Darisini for Android is identical the one on iOS even though the iOS version feels more convenient and more pleasant to use. We checked out Darisini on a Samsung phone but as it turns out, it’s not compatible with every Android phone out there. You have to check on Google Play whether your device can run Darisini.

Apparently, Darisini is is aimed at the upper middle class segment of the market. Even though Android has a wider device reach of the market, it’s clear that the places that you can find within Darisini app are venues that represent, and relevant primarily to, the that particular market segment. Clearly a large and growing market, Darisini will certainly reach a wider portion of that segment eventually.

Setelah Sukses di Platform iOS, Aplikasi Direktori DariSini Luncurkan Versi Android

Darisini, sebuah aplikasi direktori untuk perangkat mobile baru-baru ini mengumumkan bahwa aplikasi Android mereka telah tersedia di Google Play. Pada platform iOS, aplikasi ini mendapatkan tanggapan sangat positif, bahkan setelah seminggu dirilis aplikasi Darisini langsung menempati peringkat 10 teratas (Top free global category) di Appstore Indonesia.

Beberapa waktu yang lalu Amir pernah mewawancarai Thomas Arie Setiawan – salah satu pengembang aplikasi Darisini, yang pada waktu itu baru tersedia pada platform iOS saja. Pada wawancara tersebut Thomas mengatakan bahwa pada waktu itu Darisini untuk platform Android dalam tahap pengerjaan. Dan sekarang aplikasi Darisini sudah tersedia pada platform Android dan sudah dapat diunduh di Google Play.
