Apakah Game Favorit Anda Berhasil Memenangkan DICE Awards 2018? Ayo Simak Daftar Lengkapnya

Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences kembali menggelar seremoni DICE Awards minggu lalu, dan seperti sebelumnya, ajang ke-21 itu dilangsungkan untuk merayakan prestasi dan pencapaian penting di ranah gaming selama setahun. Dan jika mengikuti perkembangan industri ini di tahun 2017, Anda mungkin tidak kesulitan menebak permainan apa yang membawa pulang penghargaan paling bergengsi.

Sesuai rencana AIAS di bulan Januari 2018 silam, penyelenggara akhirnya mengumumkan permainan-permainan pemenang yang sebelumnya muncul di 24 kategori nominasi. Di sana, AIAS memasukkan tidak kurang dari 68 judul paling menjanjikan yang dirilis di sepanjang tahun lalu.

Melihat dari pemaparan di atas, itu berarti The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild menerima empat penghargaan – sekali lagi menunjukkan superioritas Nintendo – disusul oleh game indie Cuphead dengan tiga nominasi. Selanjunya, Horizon Zero Dawn, Lone Echo/Echo Arena, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds dan Snipperclips berhasil membawa pulang dua kemenangan.

Daftar Game Nominasi DICE Awards 2018

DICE Awards ialah salah satu ajang pemberian penghargaan gaming paling bergengsi. Penentuan pemenang dilakukan oleh anggota Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences serta para pakar melalui proses pemungutan suara yang aman. Karena itulah, acara ini sering disebut sebagai Oscar-nya gaming. Dan di awal 2018 ini, panitia menyingkap agenda untuk melangsungkan DICE Awards ke-21.

Di event kali ini, AIAS telah memilih tidak kurang dari 68 judul yang berpotensi memenangkan 24 kategori berbeda. Beberapa game memang terlihat mendominasi, misalnya The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild yang masuk dalam enam nominasi; lalu Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, serta Cuphead dengan lima nominasi.

Pengumuman pemenang akan dilangsungkan di event seremoni pada tanggal 22 Februari nanti, digelar di kota Las Vegas. Acara tersebut rencananya juga akan di-live stream oleh media partner dari DICE Awards ke-21, IGN Entertainment. Silakan simak daftar lengkap finalisnya di bawah.

Uncharted 4 Sapu Empat Penghargaan DICE Awards 2017, Tapi Gagal Menangkan Game of the Year

Judul-judul finalis DICE Awards 2017 – ajang tahunan yang dianggap sebagai Oscar-nya video game – telah diumumkan di pertengahan Januari lalu, dan pagi tadi Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences mengumumkan pemenangnya dalam seremoni DICE Awards ke-20. DICE Awards kali ini menjadi ajang paling penggembirakan bagi fans Sony. Bagaimana tidak, game eksklusif PlayStation 4 yang digarap oleh Naughty Dogs membawa pulang tidak kurang dari empat penghargaan. Satu-satunya judul yang berhasil ‘menjegal’ Uncharted 4 adalah permainan shooter multiplayer kreasi Blizzard Entertainment, Overwatch. Overwatch sendiri sukses memenangkan tiga penghargaan dan juga kategori paling bergengsi.

Dalam seremoni tersebut, Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences juga menunjuk Todd Howard sebagai penerima penghormatan Hall of Fame. Howard adalah seorang desainer, sutradara, sekaligus produser seri permainan role-playing  legendaris, Fallout dan The Elder Scrolls; beberapa kali juga sempat menjadi pembicara di acara DICE Summit.

Ini Dia Game-Game Finalis DICE Awards ke-20

Ada banyak acara pemberian gelar Game of the Year dilakukan tiap tahun, tapi beberapa memang diakui lebih bergengsi dari event lain karena dilaksanakan oleh badan terkemuka, salah satunya adalah Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. AIAS telah melangsungkan ajang ini sejak 1997, dan mereka kabarnya siap melaksanakannya lagi di tahun ini.

Organisasi non-profit yang didirikan oleh Andrew Zucker itu belum lama ini mengumumkan daftar nominasi game yang berkesempatan memenangkan 22 kategori di DICE Awards ke-20. Pemungutan suara dilakukan oleh para juri mulai tanggal 13 Januari ini, dan akan diumumkan dalam acara di Las Vegas pada tanggal 23 Februari nanti, dengan Greg Miller (Kinda Funny) dan Jessica Chobot (Nerdist News) sebagai host-nya.

Fallout 4 Kalahkan Rise of the Tomb Raider dan The Witcher 3 di 19th DICE Awards

Penyelenggaraan DICE Awards adalah upaya yang dilakukan Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences tiap tahun untuk menghormati judul-judul permainan terbaik beserta segala aspek di industri. Kira-kira sebulan silam, organisasi non-profit itu mengungkap tidak kurang dari 53 game istimewa dalam nominasi DICE Awards ke-19, dan baru saja para pemenangnya diumumkan.

Sebelumnya, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt memperoleh persaingan keras dari Rise of the Tomb Raider. Karya digital Crystal Dynamics itu terlihat mendominasi daftar nominasi dengan masuk ke sembilan kategori. Meski keduanya merupakan judul terbaik di tahun lalu, The Witcher 3 boleh dibilang lebih unggul dari sisi teknis dan konten. Namun ternyata, mereka berdua bukanlah peraih gelar Game of the Year versi DICE Awards. Titel itu jatuh pada salah satu game terlaris di 2015.

Seremoni DICE Awards 2016 disertai penganugerahan Lifetime Achievemen Award kepada Satoru Iwata, sambil menampilkan video berisi momen-momen ceria serta kutipan kata-kata klasik darinya. Penghargaan diterima oleh presiden Nintendo Amerika Reggie Fils-Aime yang tak lupa mengucapkan terimakasih pada AIAS atas nama keluarga programmer legendaris itu.

Ada kejadian menarik lain, yaitu ketidakhadiran Konami untuk menerima trofi Adventure Game of the Year Award yang diraih Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain – disambut oleh tawa penonton. Sang publisher diketahui keberatan melihat Hideo Kojima mendapatkan pengakuan atas permainan tersebut, dan Academy tampaknya lebih tertarik mengundang sang desainer ketimbang Konami.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Pimpin Daftar Nominasi DICE Awards

Tidak memiliki hubungan dengan developer Battlefield, DICE Awards ialah ajang pemberian penghargaan pada video game yang dilaksanakan oleh organisasi Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. Meski tidak setenar Golden Joystick atau VGX, acara telah dilangsungkan sejak hampir dua dekade silam. DICE Awards adalah nama baru dari Annual Interactive Achievement Awards.

Belum lama, tim Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences mengumumkan permainan-permainan yang terpilih sebagai nominasi Annual DICE (Design, Innovate, Communicate, Entertain) Awards ke-19. Tidak kurang dari 53 judul memperoleh pengakuan, terbagi dalam 22 kategori. Di sana rencananya akan diadakan seremoni penganugerahan gelar Lifetime Achievement Award pada Satoru Iwata, serta penyerahan titel Hall of Fame ke Hideo Kojima.
