Today, Uber officially launched its latest service, UberX (UberRakyat) in Jakarta. This service is expected to be an alternative transportation to people who look for going with cheap yet convenient accommodation. Its rate is so low that it even is cheaper than taxi. Transport Authority Plans to Restrict Uber Service in Jakarta

Just days after officially launched last Wednesday, the local Jakarta government, through the Transportation Department (Dishub), has surprisingly planned to restrict the smartphone-based Uber private car rental service provider from operating in the region. This prohibition is due to the lack of attention shown by Uber towards the official transportation regulation , as the company has yet to administer any licensing requirements.

Investasi $1 Miliar, Foxconn Pastikan Bangun Pabriknya di DKI Jakarta

Rencana Hon Hai (Foxconn) dalam membangun lokasi manufakturnya di Indonesia akhirnya menemukan titik cerah. Setelah beberapa kali melakukan negosiasi di sejumlah kota di Indonesia dan melakukan studi selama dua tahun, Foxconn akhirnya memilih pembangunan di ibukota. Keputusan ini diperkuat dengan pendatanganan nota kerja sama antara Chairman Foxconn Terry Gou dan Gubernur DKI Jakarta Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
