Bersamaan dengan Dirilisnya Bisnis Go Online oleh Google, Para Pelaku E-commerce Mendirikan Sebuah Asosiasi

Pada hari Rabu minggu kemarin, Google bersama dengan sejumlah mitra di Indonesia baik dari sektor swasta dan pemerintah, meluncurkan sebuah inisiatif untuk membawa 100.000 usaha/perusahaan kecil dan menengah di Indonesia ke ranah online sebelum akhir tahun 2012.

Dinamakan Bisnis Lokal Go Online, inisiatif ini didorong oleh kurangnya adopsi internet oleh perusahaan-perusahaan Indonesia meski lebih dari 40 juta orang Indonesia telah memiliki akses Internet. Karena mayoritas pengguna internet di Indonesia menghabiskan waktu mereka di jaringan sosial, ini bisa menjadi peluang bagi bisnis lokal untuk membawa kehadiran mereka secara online dan meningkatkan kesadaran serta kepercayaan untuk mendapatkan konsumen dan berinteraksi dengan mereka.

Meskipun Google merupakan inisiator utama program ini, dukungan juga hadir dari tiga kementerian pemerintah, KADIN, PANDI, penyedia layanan internet Melsa dan Bakrie Connectivity, Multiply, serta Aptikom – asosiasi perguruan tinggi ilmu komputer dan informatika.

As Google launched Bisnis Go Online, E-commerce Players Band Together to Set Up an Association

On Wednesday, Google, along with a number of Indonesian partners in both the private and government sectors, launched an initiative to bring 100,000 Indonesian small and medium businesses/enterprises online by the end of 2012.

Dubbed Bisnis Lokal Go Online, the move is spurred by the lack of adoption of the Internet by Indonesian companies despite having more than 40 million individuals logging time on the Internet. As the majority of these people spend their time on social networks, it’s up to local businesses to bring their presence online and improve awareness as well as trust to get consumers to interact with them.

While Google is the primary driver of this program, it is also being backed by three government ministries, the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce, PANDI, the Indonesian Internet domain agency, Internet providers Melsa and Bakrie Connectivity, Multiply, as well as Aptikom, the higher education association of computer science and informatics.

Google Officially Operates Its Office in Thailand

Google operates its second local office in South East Asia this year in Bangkok, Thailand. Previously, Google has operated new office in Singapore for regional office and in Malaysia as the first local office in South East Asia this year. Google reportedly will operate its office in Indonesia before this year-end after Google Executive Chairman, Eric Schmidt, coming to Indonesia and meeting Indonesian Vice President at GEPI 2011.

Noted from Dow Jones Newswire, Julian Persaud, Google Managing Director for South East Asia, stated that Google plans to recruits more than 500 people in Asia by this year, in which the one-fifth or a hundred of them, will be located in South East Asia. When we go to jobs section on Google Thailand, there are three jobs opportunity available in sales area, all of them are for Area Sales Advertising—which deal with Adsense and Adwords.

Google Resmi Buka Kantor di Thailand

Google membuka kantor lokal kedua di Asia Tenggara tahun ini dengan membukanya di Bangkok, Thailand. Sebelumnya, Google memiliki kantor di Singapura untuk regional dan Malaysia sebagai kantor lokal pertama di kawasan tahun ini. Google dikabarkan bakal membuka kantor di Indonesia sebelum akhir tahun ini setelah Executive Chairman Google, Eric Schmidt, datang ke Indonesia dan bertemu dengan Wakil Presiden RI dalam rangkaian acara GEPI 2011.

Dikutip dari Dow Jones Newswire, Julian Persaud, Managing Director Google untuk Asia Tenggara, mengatakan bahwa Google berencana merekrut hingga 500 orang tahun ini di seluruh Asia, di mana seperlimanya, atau seratus orang, berlokasi di Asia Tenggara. Saat melihat ke laman Pekerjaan di Google Thailand, ada tiga lowongan pekerjaan yang saat ini tersedia di area Penjualan (Sales), kesemuanya untuk area Sales Advertising — yang seharusnya berkaitan dengan Adsense dan AdWords.
