Have you ever feel alienated when visiting areas where local people choose to speak in local languages like Javanese or Sudanese? This was my experience when visiting Bandung, where some colleagues there prefer to use Sundanese when talking with their colleagues, and I felt alienated.

Some time ago, I found three applications on Google Play which at least can help me understand all three languages. I’m talking about Ngomong Sunda (Speaking Sundanese), Ngomong Jawa (Speaking Javanese) and Ngomong Padang (Speaking Padangnese). Actually, I prefer all package bundled in one application, making it easier for users when downloading those applications.

These three applications were developed by Plugie and now it’s only available for Android. Through its bio on Twitter, Plugie claims that it’s an independent Android developer and of all the applications it has, the ones that interest me are Ngomong Sunda, Ngomong Jawa and Ngomong Padang. As the title suggests, those applications help users to understand a little about Sundanese, Javanese and Padangnese.
