StatCounter: Google Chrome Users in Indonesia Increasing Almost Twice in a Year

According to the StatCounter data record, the number of Google Chrome users in Indonesia increased almost twice in a year. In September 2010, the number of Chrome users in Indonesia was only 9.9% while in September 2011 the number of users has reach 17.56%. It is in accordance with the Chrome users’ trend that increases in many countries in the world. StatCounter predicted that Chrome will beat Mozilla Firefox as the 2nd rank browser globally, after IE, in December.

In Indonesia, the browser users’ statistic of shows that the top desktop users is Firefox with about 75% or 3 from 4 people who go online in Indonesia uses Firefox. The number decreases compared to September 2010. The further breaking down shows that the most popular version is the 3.6 although it decreases month to month, then followed Firefox 6.0. IE, Opera, and Safari are left behind in Indonesia, they are only used by not more than 5% of the users.

StatCounter: Pengguna Google Chrome di Indonesia Naik Hampir Dua Kali Lipat Setahun Terakhir

Berdasarkan pencatatan StatCounter, penggunaan Google Chrome di Indonesia selama satu tahun terakhir mencapai hampir dua kali lipat. Di bulan September 2010 nilainya hanya 9.9%, sementara di bulan September 2011 jumlah pengguna Chrome sudah mencapai 17.56%. Hal ini sejalan dengan tren penggunaan Chrome yang menanjak di berbagai negara di dunia, di mana StatCounter memprediksikan bahwa Chrome akan mengalahkan Mozilla Firefox sebagai browser nomor dua penggunanya secara global, setelah IE, bulan Desember nanti.

Di Indonesia sendiri, statistik penggunaan browser desktop terbesar masih dipegang oleh Firefox dengan angka sedikit di bawah 75% atau 3 dari 4 orang yang online di Indonesia menggunakan Firefox. Angka tersebut mengalami penurunan dibanding bulan September 2010. Jika di-breakdown lebih lanjut, versi paling banyak dipakai masih Firefox 3.6 meskipun mencatat penurunan cukup tajam dari bulan ke bulan, diikuti oleh Firefox 6.0 di urutan kedua. IE, Opera, dan Safari sangat tertinggal di Indonesia dan mencatatkan persentasenya masing-masing di bawah angka 5%.

StatCounter: BlackBerry Defeats Symbian in Indonesia for Internet Access

StatCounter as an independent agency, tracked the statistics of Internet access, have a web app called GlobalStats. If we look at the data captured by StatCounter in Indonesia, there was a monumental shift in June 2011. For the first time, accessing the Internet via BlackBerry beat Symbian-based phones. The margin is very small, only the decimal part of the 38% share. In movement, the value that is owned by BlackBerry phones has not increased significantly, but Symbian has decreased quite dramatically. From 52% value in May 2011, Symbian fallen to 38% in June 2011.

In comparison, for the month of June 2011, globally Symbian is still leading the way for Internet access with a value of 33%. IOS, Android, and BlackBerry trailed with a value of 20%, 18%, and 12%. Globally there is an upward trend for Symbian and Android, while the downward trend is obtained for iPhone and BlackBerry.

StatCounter: BlackBerry Kalahkan Symbian di Indonesia untuk Pengaksesan Internet

StatCounter sebagai lembaga independen yang men-track statistik pengaksesan Internet memiliki suatu web app yang disebut sebagai GlobalStats. Jika kita tilik data yang ditangkap oleh StatCounter di Indonesia, ternyata ada pergeseran monumental di bulan Juni 2011. Untuk pertama kalinya pengaksesan Internet via BlackBerry mengalahkan ponsel berbasis Symbian. Margin-nya sangat kecil, hanya bagian desimal dari share 38%. Secara pergerakan, value yang dimiliki oleh ponsel BlackBerry tidak bertambah signifikan, tapi ponsel Symbian mengalami penurunan yang cukup drastis. Dari nilai 52% di bulan Mei 2011, ponsel Symbian tumbang ke angka 38% di bulan Juni 2011.

Sebagai perbandingan, untuk bulan Juni 2011 secara global Symbian masih memimpin untuk pengaksesan Internet dengan nilai 33%. iOS, Android, dan BlackBerry membuntuti dengan nilai masing-masing 20%, 18%, dan 12%. Secara global ada tren kenaikan untuk Symbian dan Android, sementara diperoleh tren penurunan untuk iPhone dan BlackBerry.
