Tiket.com Goes Mobile With Web Access For Smartphones

Tiket.com today launched its mobile site for smartphones and tablet users though it still lacks a more inclusive range of payment methods.

Instead of providing mobile apps tailored for all the different kinds of mobile devices, Tiket has smartly chosen the mobile web approach to cater for those looking to purchase movie tickets or book for accommodations across a number of cities in Indonesia.

The site automatically detects mobile browsers upon entering the website’s address and takes you directly to the mobile version, although if accessed on an Android tablet, you get served the full site. But if you open it through iPad’s Safari, you’ll see the mobile site.

You can of course manually enter the address for the mobile site which is http://m.tiket.com from any device, including desktop or laptop computers and it will serve you the mobile version.

Tiket.com Kini Bisa Diakses melalui Mobile Browser

Tiket.com yang akhirnya diluncurkan akhir November lalu kini bisa diakses melalui mobile browser. Untuk mengaksesnya harus melalui alamat khusus mobile, http://m.tiket.com. Untuk versi aplikasi mobile-nya baru akan hadir awal tahun depan dan kemungkinan bakal ada untuk platform BlackBerry, Android, dan iPhone.

Pihak Tiket.com menjanjikan versi mobile web-nya untuk bisa diakses dengan baik di berbagai mobile browser, termasuk browser yang telah menggunakan WebKit, BlackBerry OS5 (yang belum menggunakan WebKit) dan Opera Mini. Nampaknya berdasarkan konfirmasi lebih lanjut, tampilannya baru smooth di Opera Mini versi Touch dan belum begitu bagus untuk versi yang standar.

Tiket.com Akhirnya Go Live

Setelah tertunda dari peluncuran awal yang seharusnya dijadwalkan tanggal 18 November lalu, akhirnya Tiket.com benar-benar go live malam ini (30 November). Sebelumnya Tiket.com sudah soft launching dengan memberikan promo undian perjalanan ke Bali dan tiket menonton bioskop dengan tujuan sebagai buzz dan meningkatkan animo pengguna online di Indonesia tentang pemain baru di ranah reservasi online ini.

Tampilannya sangat menarik dengan nuansa biru sebagai warna dominan. Saya mendapatkan kenyamanan untuk menavigasi situs ini, baik dari sisi UI maupun UX. Tiket.com sudah menyiapkan situsnya dalam dua bahasa, bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Indonesia. Selain itu, mereka juga menyiapkan dua jenis mata uang, dollar Amerika Serikat dan Rupiah — meskipun saya belum tahu apakah mereka juga menerima pembayaran dalam Dollar. Sementara ini Tiket.com baru melayani pembelian dua hal, reservasi hotel secara online dan pembelian tiket bioskop bekerja sama dengan blitzmegaplex.

Apakah Tiket.com Tetap Diluncurkan Hari Ini?

Beberapa hari lalu kami menuliskan bahwa Tiket.com akan meluncurkan layanan mereka pada 18 November, tanggal peluncuran ini berdasarkan posting blog oleh COO Tiket.com, Natali Ardianto. Hari ini adalah hari peluncurannya tapi tampaknya tidak ada tanda-tanda layanan Tiket akan hadir dalam waktu dekat. Ketika Anda mengunjungi situs ini, Anda akan disambut oleh kegiatan promo yang sudah berjalan selama seminggu terakhir.

Tentu saja, ini baru jam 10 pagi dan masih ada sekitar 14 jam untuk tetap menepati tanggal peluncuran pada 18 November, tapi saya mendengar rumor yang mengatakan bahwa ada masalah eksternal yang menjadi hambatan Tiket.com untuk diluncurkan hari ini, yang berarti kecuali masalah yang ada bisa terpecahkan sebelum hari ini berakhir, Anda tetap harus membeli tiket bioskop secara tradisional.

Is Tiket Still Going Ahead With the Launch Today?

Several days ago we reported that Tiket.com was said to be launching on November 18 based on a blog post by its head of operations, Natali Ardianto. Today is that day but apparently there’s no sign of the service going up any time soon. When you visit the site, you’ll be greeted by the promo drive that it’s been running for the past week.

Of course, it’s only been 9 hours since the day began and it still has 15 more hours to still be able to say it launched on November 18, but a little bird told me that there’s an external issue that is preventing the service from going public today, which means unless it gets solved before the end of the day, you’ll have to get your movie tickets the traditional way for now.

At publishing time, company representatives have yet to respond to our contacts.

Tiket.com Akan Diluncurkan Dalam Waktu Kurang Dari Dua Minggu

Salah satu startup Indonesia yang paling sering dibicarakan, Tiket.com akan segera meluncurkan layanan mereka dalam waktu kurang dari dua minggu. Kabar ini beredar berdasarkan Tweet dari akun Twitter Tiket.com. Natali Ardianto, COO Tiket juga menuliskan di blog pribadinya bahwa Tiket akan diluncurkan 11 hari lagi, 18 November 2011.

Tiket.com di kelola oleh orang-orang yang berada di belakang PhaseDev, perusahaan pengembang aplikasi mobile yang dipimpin oleh Wenas Agusetiawan, beberapa produk dari perusahaan ini antara lain Bouncity dan WayangForce.

Tiket.com to Launch in Less than Two Weeks [Updated]

One of the most talked about Indonesian startups, tiket.com will be launching in less than two weeks according to a message posted on its Twitter account. The ticket booking company is run by the people behind PhaseDev, the mobile app development company headed by Wenas Agusetiawan whose products include Bouncity and WayangForce.

While many of the existing ticketing outlets serve particular niches separately, such as concerts, sporting events, travel, accommodation, and other categories, tiket.com aims to be a one stop booking outlet for just about everything that requires a ticket to participate. It will face a horde of Indonesian competitors including major players Ibu Dibjo and Raja Karcis as well as the various travel agencies.
