Ministry Plans to Implement Country Signing Certificate Authority to All Public Services Sites

Prior to the vast growth of digital industry in Indonesia, digital security is indeed one crucial thing that cannot be neglected. Based on this premise, the Ministry of Communication and Information (MCI) announced that they will soon enable the Country Signing Certificate Authority (CSCA) digital sertification for Indonesia-based websites. Using the national CA root, it is expected that by 2015 all public services websites should’ve implemented this sertification system.

Kemenkominfo Hadirkan Country Signing Certificate Authority untuk Situs Layanan Publik

Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemenkominfo) menghadirkan sertifikat digital Country Signing Certificate Authority (CSCA) untuk situs-situs yang berbasis di Indonesia. Dengan kepemilikan root CA sendiri, Kemenkominfo berharap situs layanan publik wajib menggunakan sertifikat digital pada akhir tahun 2015.

MCI Targets 150 Million Indonesian Internet Users by 2015

A quite surprising target has just been set by the Ministry of Communication and Information (MCI) in regard to the number of Indonesian internet users. According to the Director General of Application and Information Technology Bambang Heru Tjahjono, cited from Antara, the Ministry expects that by the end of 2015 the number Internet users in Indonesia may reach 61% of the total population (around 150 million citizens). Angka yang cukup mengejutkan dipatok oleh Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemenkominfo) terkait jumlah pengguna Internet di Indonesia. Menurut Direktur Jenderal Aplikasi dan Teknologi Informatika Kemenkominfo Bambang Heru Tjahjono, seperti dikutip dari Antara, Kemenkominfo berharap di akhir tahun 2015 jumlah pengguna Internet di Indonesia telah mencapai angka 150 juta orang, atau sekitar 61% dari total penduduk.

Government Official Confirms Google Public DNS Blocking

Hot! We have just got a confirmation from Ir. Bambang Heru Tjahjono M.Sc, the Director General of the Department of Application and Information Technology Ministry of Communications and Informatics, regarding the issue of public DNS blockade by the Government. In contrary to one of his staffer who denies any blockade being made, Mr. Tjahjono strongly emphasized that the governement is in fact blocks the access through public DNS which doesn’t fit the requirements set by the Trust+ program by the ministry.
