Looking for “Healthy” Blog, ICTWatch Organizes ISBA 2012

ICT Watch holds another Internet Sehat Blog & Content Award (ISBA) blog competition. The competition, that has been ongoing since 2009 is giving reward to managers of different types of content service (blogs, wikis, forums, portals, etc.), either individually or in groups, which managed content considered creative and useful both for itself and for Indonesian society.

In this competition, the team from InternetSehat will find two winners each week (bronze award) until January 2013. Each month, from 8 bronze winners of that month, will be selected 3 monthly winners (silver award). Every 3 months, from the 9 silver winners, will be selected 3 three-monthly winners (gold award) and then from the 12 gold winners selected throughout the year, 3 platinum award winners will be selected. In addition, there is also a youth category award winner that will be selected each month.

ISBA competition is open for public for blog category including personal blog. According to the official page, the purpose of the award is to give positive and rewarding stimulation for the growth of local content so that more young Indonesian people are actively writing.

Indigo Fellowship 2012 Officially Launched

Located at Bandung Digital Valley, last Friday, Telkom Group, along with MIKTI, officially launched Indigo Fellowship 2012 program which enter its fifth year of implementation.

Bringing the theme “For Brighter Digital Creativepreneur”, this year’s Indigo Fellowshop will focus on growing entrepreneurs. As described by Hari S. Sungkari – chairman of the judges, this is what distinguishes the event from last year’s event. The theme will also affect the assessment process to determine the winner.

12 winners will be selected for the Indigo 2012, with 3 winners for each 4 different categories. Contested categories are Application & Content for Tourism, Health, Education; Comic, Animation, Social Games; Short Movie & Video Clip and Digital Radio. With a special note: the latter category is a special award given by Telkom Group to Suararadio.com.

As written in a press release, the assessment will be focused on the 4Ps, namely Products – originality and quality of item, including its readiness to enter the market, Profitability – clarity of business model, readiness of marketing strategy, business development and financial planning, then Personality & Team – character of individual and team skills, things needed to be a tough digitalpreneur, and the last is Prospect to Collaborate – the prospect for collaboration with Telkom Group, adjusted to Telkom Group’s overall strategy.

Volpen Holds Writing Collaborative Competition

Volpen, a service for writing collaboration, holds a writing collaborative competition with iPad 3 as prize for the winner. In this writing collaboration competition, you are required to work and compete at the same time with other friends to write a book.

This competition requires you to write a segment of a book with the length of 200 to 4000 words for each chapter. The book will be finished when it reaches ten chapters. So, you will be asked to invite your friends to support each chapter you wrote by voting. The winner will be the book that has the most votes, while iPad 3 winner is the writer of the most voted chapter in the winner’s book. It means that the winner with most votes is the writer of a chapter in the book with the most votes as well.

Winners of MIKTI and Square-Enix Game Ideas Competition

MIKTI announced winners of game ideas competition for mobile phones (Android) in collaboration with Square-Enix. MIKTI-Square Enix Game Idea Competition 2011 was held at the end of last year and its selection made since September 2011. DailySocial had attended the promotional event of this competiton at ITB in August last year.

After the selection period, judging and announcement of 10 finalists, finally 3 winners were selected and officially announced. In a press release on MIKTI’s official site, the announcement actually had been done in March but apparently the press release was not made available on MIKTI’s official website until April.

The three winners are Whizzy Wazzy (Manticore Studio) as the champion, Beat The Flooder! (Hendri Kusuma Firdaus) as runner up and Buzway Bhablass! (Manticore Studio) as second runner up. The winners will receive prizes totaling US$3,000.

[Event] Festival Doyan Makan Vegas Hotdog

Doyan Makan, together with Vegas Hotdog, will hold Festival Doyan Makan Vegas Hotdog – Fond of Eating Vegas Hotdog Festival. This event, consists of eating contest, food festival and music entertainment, will be held at Tribeca Central Park, West Jakarta. The festival will take place on April 28, 2012 starting from 10 am to 10 pm.

Festival Doyan Makan Vegas Hotdog will begin with Doyan Makan’s book launch as well as website launch at www.doyanmakan.com. Festivities will continue with a number of contests including Super Vegas Hotdog Eat All You Can Competition, Super Vegas Hotdog Fastest Eating Competition, Expression Photo Competition and Abang Adek Extremely Spicy Noodle Eating Contest. The prizes are BlackBerry and Nokia X2 phones, given to the winner of each contest.
