Blibli.com Officially Launched

Around midnight and the countdown numbers of which are listed on their site over, Blibli.com formally present to the public and offer services for e-commerce consumer in Indonesia. As described earlier in DailySocial, Blibli is an e-commerce services owned by PT Global Digital Commerce, a subsidiary of Djarum Group in the field of technology.

Although almost no change, judging from the initial view their site, except the loss of countdown banner (as a written from one of reader on DailySocial) and changed by iPhone – BCA promo and the promo purchase goods with credit cards, but with the disappearance of this countdown banner means Blibli, which is still in beta version, is ready to serve customers, process purchases, checkout and other supplies have also been provided.

Breaking: Blibli.com is Ready to Launch

The E-commerce market in Indonesia will be having a new competitor, serious one. The “threat” is identified as Blibli (buy and buy, an iteration if translated from native Indonesian). The site is yet to launch in less than 1 day and 3 minutes, according to the countdown as I visited. Blibli is owned by PT Global Digital Niaga, another subsidiary of technology arm of Djarum Group. Their sibling, Global Digital Prima (GDP) Venture injected undisclosed amount of funding to Kaskus that create hype on Indonesian startup world.

Also, it’s not unusual to find BCA banner in frontpage as they share common ownership. Fortunately, you can dismiss the ads by clicking the down arrow. Blibli currently still holds the beta signage, although it is explicitly crafted that the current version is 3.2.

Sedapur.com is Officially Launched

Sedapur.com, an e-commerce service for food, officially launched their beta version today. Daily Social wrote about them in October 2010. At that time we were already given access to some of their facilities although they are not officially launched yet.

Sedapur can be briefly explained as an online store that users, in this case food merchants, can use to sell their product, and visitors can order and buy them here. As an online store, Sedapur is equipped by shopping cart, website management system, financial administration, and delivery facilities. At the moment they only cover Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi area, but they are planning to expand their coverage.

TokoBagus hits 1 million ads, enters Indonesia’s top 30 visited sites

Seems like the guys at TokoBagus also missed the note about their first million ads put up on their e-commerce site, that makes it two in one day. Apparently Koprol’s one mil milestone remind Remco Lupker (CEO) to check his website’s stats only to find a similar achievement with the location based social networking site.

TokoBagus was one of the early player who survived the heartless jungle of the Indonesian internet ecosystem, founded in 2005 and currently one of the biggest e-commerce company in Indonesia. Based in Denpasar-Bali, Remco and their investors spend tons of money for TokoBagus’ marketing and promotion effort, they even have a booth opened at Jakarta’s biggest IT exhibition.
