Last week, Ruma, Grameen Foundation and Qualcomm launched mobile survey tools and apps which released to help SMEs in Indonesia. The mobile survey app which takes form in Marketing Intelligence tools and app can help SMEs in Indonesia to gain additional income and helps businessman to understand the need of lower class group.

This cooperation is a part of Application Laboratory (AppLab) project which announced in 2010. Formerly, Ruma had worked with Grameen Foundation and Qualcomm to launch a couple of apps such as Jual Pulsa and Kerja Lokal. Ruma (Your SME Partner – Rekan Usaha Mikro Anda) is a social company from Indonesia which helps people with low income using mobile technology. One of them is by helping them to ‘sell’ phone credit, electricity credit and other value adding service. Ruma gains funding from Omidyar Network and Unitus Impact.

In a press release related to cooperation with Ruma, Grameen Foundation and Qualcomm, it is mentioned that this mobile survey tool can be used by many parties. Respondent SMEs can get additional income and data source acquired from the survey can be used as consideration factor to test a product or marketing startegy. While for business people, company and businessman, this mobile survey tool/app can be a mean for them to understand the need and interest of low-income customer.

Minggu lalu, Ruma, Grameen Foundation dan Qualcomm meluncurkan tools (perkakas) dan aplikasi survei mobile yang dirilis untuk membantu pengusaha mikro di Indonesia. Aplikasi survei mobile berupa perkakas dan aplikasi Marketing Intelligence ini bisa membantu pada pengusaha mikro di Indonesia dengan mendapatkan pemasukan tambahan dan membantu pelaku bisnis mengerti kebutuhan golongan berpendapatan rendah.

Kerja sama terbaru ini merupakan bagian dari proyek Application Laboratory (AppLab) yang telah diumumkan tahun 2010. Sebelumnya Ruma juga telah bekerja sama dengan Grameen Foundation dan Qualcomm dalam meluncurkan beberapa aplikasi seperti Jual Pulsa dan Kerja Lokal. Ruma (Rekan Usaha Mikro Anda) sendiri merupakan perusahaan sosial asal Indonesia yang membantu penduduk berpendapatan rendah dengan teknologi mobile. Salah satunya adalah dengan membantu mereka ‘berdagang’ menjual pulsa telepon, listrik serta layanan penambah nilai lainnya. Ruma mendapatkan pendanaan dari Omidyar Network dan Unitus Impact.
