How Pintails Shocked AngelHack in San Francisco by Presenting on BlackBerry 10

This is the second post in our AngelHack trip series as we follow Radita Liem and Asep Priandana make they way across San Francisco representing Pintails which won the inaugural AngelHack Jakarta hackathon event back in June. Pin Your Dreams Up High and Your Feet Down Low

Following its win at AngelHack Jakarta, the team behind Pintails spent several weeks under the mentorship of Robin Malau (Musikator, Cerahati) and Fajar Budiprasetyo (Ice House) polishing the app and the ideas around it. Last weekend, two of the team members, Radita Liem and Asep Priandana, flew to San Francisco to participate in AngelHack Global Demo Day and TechCrunch Disrupt. Vincent Putera on Hackathon and Pintails

Following AngelHack Jakarta, we caught up with Vincent Putera to talk a little bit about his new app Pintails and why he joined AngelHack. Among so many e-commerce models, Pintails seems quite unique. The app lets people to conduct trade among friends and close contacts only, leveraging the trust and relationship that have already been established to bypass the largest concerns regarding online commerce. The app relies on BlackBerry Messenger but will accommodate other networks eventually.
