IM2 Modified Kongkoow to be Online Marketplace

We have already discussed about Kongkoow which was established in 2008 by IM2, one of the Indosat subsidiary. That time, Kongkoow focused on some friendship sites and wished to be the “Indonesian-MySpace”. After 3 years, we knew that MySpace is down and Kongkoow did not get expected traction. Now, IM2 is swerved. They try to facilitate Kongkoow to be online marketplace for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

As stated on Tempo Interactive, Kongkoow will be the media for SMEs to sell on the internet. This will improve the IM2 business, which, by far, focuses on the infrastructure area. Later, IM2 will bundle the broadband internet connection service and this online shop place. It does not mentioned whether the support from IM2 covering the training to build online shop in Kongkoow.

IM2 Modifikasi Kongkoow Menjadi Online Marketplace

Posterous introduces Posterous Spaces, turns blogging platform into social network

During TechCrunch Disrupt SF, Posterous unveiled Posterous Spaces, the latest incarnation of its email oriented blogging service. Spaces is Posterous redesigned and reimagined. It essentially merges Posterous’ blog and Groups services, turning it into something that resembles Google+ or Tumblr with selective sharing ability instead of a standard blog site.

Posterous had been one of the most innovative blogging sites, embracing email like no one else had before, but it decided a while ago to release not just one but two mobile apps. PicPosterous, its first mobile app, remains unchanged as an app that lets Posterous users manage their blogs as photo albums. Its primary Posterous app however, got itself an update earlier today to support the new direction the company is taking with Spaces.

Another Location Based Social Network from Yogyakarta

Dailysocial readers must know the local location based social services such as Yahoo! Koprol, Urbanesia, and Personaflag, for Yogya, beside Personaflag there is another location based social service called t4nya.com.

This one social media is quite interesting, has a slight difference from the others and a little bit unique. The first approach is mark a favorite location and then user can add photos, give score and comment to the place they’ve visited before, able to find places, location and new relations.

It’s quiet interesting from UI and UX side and also user friendly. The users have been given the privilege to add important places or their own favorite location on the map. It’s easy to add places and the funny icons display in each category made me comfortable in using t4nya.com. Even though it’s still in beta version, t4nya.com is such an addictive social service.

Google+ circles over Facebook, Twitter, and Skype

Let’s talk about the hottest thing on the Internet in the last few days and that is Google+. Google+ looks like the culmination of all the social network experiments that Google has been throwing out so far in the last several years. The network is only a few days old yet it already feels like it’s been around for a long time, and streams of posts have been flowing almost endlessly with hardly a slow down.

When you join Google+, you’re asked to create circles based on your relationship with the people listed on your screen. Now these circles are for you and you alone. None of the people listed will know what circle you’ve put them into and who their fellow circle members are. All they know is you’re following them.

This one-way relationship is what made Twitter popular and preferred by those who shun Facebook’s approach of mutual friendship. On Facebook, anyone who wants to consider you a friend has to be approved and while many may consider this as not that big of a deal, a lot of people are uncomfortable with this “forced” friendship.
