[Event] Festival Doyan Makan Vegas Hotdog

Doyan Makan, bekerja sama dengan Vegas Hotdog menyelenggarakan Festival Doyan Makan Vegas Hotdog. Acara ini yang terdiri dari lomba makan, festival makanan dan hiburan musik ini akan diadakan di Tribeca Central Park, Jakarta Barat. Festival ini akan berlangsung pada tanggal 28 April 2012 sepanjang hari, mulai dari jam 10 pagi sampai jam 10 malam.

Festival Doyan Makan Vegas Hotdog akan dimulai dengan peluncuran buku dan peluncuran situs Doyan Makan yang beralamat di www.doyanmakan.com. Kemudian acara akan dilanjutkan dengan acara lomba yang terdiri dari Lomba Makan Terbanyak Super Vegas Hotdog, Lomba Makan Tercepat Super Vegas Hotdog, Lomba Foto Ekspresi, dan Lomba Makan Mie Pedes Mampus Abang Adek. Nokia Kembali Adakan Lumia Windows Phone Developer Day

Setelah sukses dengan acara Nokia Lumia Developer Day yang diadakan di Bandung awal Februari yang lalu, Nokia kembali menyelenggarakan acara Developer Day. Kali ini bersama dengan Microsoft dan Microsoft Innovation Center Universitas Indonesia (MIC UI), Nokia mengadakan Lumia Windows Phone Developer Day. Acara ini akan diadakan di Aula Fakultas Ilmu Komputer UI pada tanggal 28 dan 29 April 2012 mendatang.

Berbeda dengan acara di Bandung yang merupakan bagai “medan perang” bagi para developer untuk saling bersaing membuktikan diri sebagai yang terbaik dalam mengembangkan aplikasi untuk Windows Phone, sepertinya acara ini lebih kepada sebuah “tempat latihan”. Peserta akan dibimbing untuk mengembangkan aplikasi untuk sistem operasi Windows Phone. Blackberry Messenger Is Now Integrated With Other Applications

Blackberry Messenger (BBM) will be able to integrate with your Facebook and Twitter account as Research in Motion (RIM) announced that it will complete the Facebook and Twitter applications with BBM connectivity. With BBM connectivity, BBM user will be able to easily share their Facebook status and tweets with their BBM contacts.

Other than Facebook and Twitter, other applications that are planned to be connected with BBM are BlackBerry Travel, BlackBerry App World and BBM Music. So, in addition to Facebook and Twitter status, BBM users will be able to easily share their activities starting from downloaded applications, favorite applications, planning a trip to downloaded music.

[Event] Festival Doyan Makan Vegas Hotdog

Doyan Makan, together with Vegas Hotdog, will hold Festival Doyan Makan Vegas Hotdog – Fond of Eating Vegas Hotdog Festival. This event, consists of eating contest, food festival and music entertainment, will be held at Tribeca Central Park, West Jakarta. The festival will take place on April 28, 2012 starting from 10 am to 10 pm.

Festival Doyan Makan Vegas Hotdog will begin with Doyan Makan’s book launch as well as website launch at www.doyanmakan.com. Festivities will continue with a number of contests including Super Vegas Hotdog Eat All You Can Competition, Super Vegas Hotdog Fastest Eating Competition, Expression Photo Competition and Abang Adek Extremely Spicy Noodle Eating Contest. The prizes are BlackBerry and Nokia X2 phones, given to the winner of each contest.

[Event] Jakarta Startups Club: Open Discussion on Indonesian Startups

Inspired by the thrill of Jakarta Lawyers Club (JLC) shown on TV every Tuesday night, Jakarta Founder Institute (JKTFI) is launching a similar program to discuss startups. The program, named Jakarta Startups Club, will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 in Merah Putih Incubator at Jl. Aipda K.S. Tubun 2C/8, Jakarta.

Jakarta Startups Club will run for 3 hours, beginning at 2 PM. ITS Industrial Incubator Center is looking for startups from East Java

Industrial Incubator Center Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November (ITS), supported by the East Java Department of Cooperatives of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, looking for 30 young innovative entrepreneurs to be given business scholarship. This offer is valid not only for ITS alumni either S1 or D3 but also to alumni of other universities in East Java.

If you have a business in the creative industry, located in East Java and have been running for at least 1-2 years, you have until April 14, 2012 to sign up and participate in this program. Then, the ITS Industrial Incubator Center will do a selection and interview on April 17, 2012 at Surabaya Plaza Hotel.

Klik-Eat Wins Judges’ Choice Award in Satellite Indonesia – Echelon 2012

As a part of Echelon 2012 program to select the best 50 startups in Asia, the Jakarta satellite event had held on Saturday, April 7, 2012. Located in the Multimedia Tower, Telkom Kebon Sirih, Jakarta, the event featured pitching from 16 startups. From the sixteen startups, Klik-Eat receives Judges’ Choice Award.

Unlike last year that brought a People’s Choice Award, this year Satellite chose to give Judges’ Choice Award. This is done to provide a more in-depth suggestion to the startup participants. And finally, Klik-Eat, a startup that gives online food delivery service, was chosen because it was considered by the judges as a startup that best demonstrate its business potential and opportunities to get funding.

Latest Game from Toge Productions : Infectonator 2

Toge Productions, one of the largest and well-known Indonesian local game studio, launched a new game: Infectonator 2. This game is a sequel to previous game, Infectonator: World Dominator. Previously, in addition to Infectonator, Toge Productions, led by Kris Antoni, has had games like Necronator and Crimson Hell.

Infectonator is a flash based game where you will play to infect earth’s population with the virus that turns them into zombies. The zombies will chase other people and kill them. You will master a level/town if you successfully achieved the target set earlier. After taking over a city, you will be able to proceed to the next level – which, of course, is more difficult – until the whole world has been successfully conquered.

[EVENT] Industry Creative Festival 2012

Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry organizes Creative Product Show Competition 2012, named Industry Creative Festival (Increfest). The event takes the theme “Make Indonesian Creative Product’s Content the Host in Our Country” launched at Ambarukmo Hotel, Yogyakarta, March 29, 2012.

Increfest’s activities include software, animation and game competition where all competitions are open for startups (beginner company). Nominees that elected from final judging process will get a chance to attend a two nights business coaching. Winner will get not only cash prize but also attending a business matching in Taiwan with Ministry of Industry.
