Sparxup winner Bistip unveils affiliate feature to boost membership

Bistip, an online platform where travellers can get money from buying stuff for people back home, recently launched Affiliation feature on the site in order to boost its membership number. Founded back in March 2011 now Bistip has hosted 23.000 conversations between travellers and their “customers” with IDR 187 million ($20.000) worth of transactions serving 3600 routes around the world.

BisTip Mobile Application Makes SafePay Transaction Easy

BisTip has released an application for Android device which helps its service user in doing transaction with SafePay (or BisTip’s joint account).

SafePay is one of the facilities provided by Bistip to make it easier for its users in doing payment –between the one entrusting the goods with the entrusted. This peer to peer delivery service has provided mobile application so the ‘transaction’ confirmation process can be faster and easier.

Willy Ekasalim, founder of BisTip, explained via email that currently, BisTip’s mobile application is intended for BisTip’s user who also use SafePay, so it may not be too useful for BisTip user who does not use SafePay, but this mobile application will be developed for full so there will be complete features of BisTip’s services, namely search, order and SafePay.

Aplikasi Mobile BisTip Mudahkan Transaksi SafePay

BisTip telah merilis aplikasi untuk perangkat Android yang membantu pengguna layanan mereka dalam bertransaksi menggunakan SafePay (atau yang bisa disebut sebagai rekening bersama dari BisTip.)

SafePay merupakan salah satu fasilitas yang disediakan Bistip untuk memudahkan pengguna mereka dalam melakukan pembayaran, antara yang menitipkan barang dengan yang dititipkan barang. Layanan jasa antar barang peer to peer ini telah menyediakan aplikasi mobile agar proses konfirmasi ‘transaksi’ bisa lebih cepat dan mudah.

Willy Ekasalim, founder BisTip, lewat email menjelaskan bahwa saat ini, aplikasi mobile BisTip memang dititik beratkan/dikhususkan bagi para pengguna Bistip yang juga menggunakan SafePay, jadi mungkin belum terlalu berguna bagi pengguna BisTip yang tidak menggunakan SafePay, namun ke depannya aplikasi mobile ini juga akan dikembangkan secara full, jadi akan tersedia fasilitas lebih lengkap seperti yang ada di layanan Bistip, yaitu pencarian, pesan dan juga SafePay.

Aplikasi mobile yang sekarang dikembangkan dari masukan pengguna yang ingin melakukan konfirmasi dengan lebih cepat, yaitu ketika traveller memberikan barang pada si penerima, jadi nantinya akan ada tombol yang bisa memudahkan untuk melakukan konfirmasi. Dijelaskan Willy juga bahwa masukan dari pengguna yang kesulitan update via web dari perangkat bergerak ingin dipecahkan dengan aplikasi ini, sehingga update di akun SafePay bisa dalam 1 – 2 klik saja.

Bistip.com Masuk Tahun Kedua, Fokus Tambah Konten

Bistip.com, sebuah layanan pengiriman barang antar teman – peer to peer courier service- berulang tahun yang pertama tanggal 11 Maret 2012 kemarin dan kini akan memasuki tahun kedua. Menyambut ulang tahun ini, mereka akan membebaskan biaya layanan SafePay (salah satu fasilitas untuk rekening bersama Bistip).

Mereka akan mengratiskan potongan 2% untuk penggunaan fasilitas SafePay bagi pengguna mereka selama satu bulan mulai dari 9 Maret sampai 9 April 2012. Selain mengadakan program ini Willy Ekasalim, Founder dari Bistip.com juga menjelaskan fokus dari startup yang telah mendapatkan investasi dari InvestIdea ini. Jika tahun lalu mereka fokus untuk melengkapi fasilitas marketplace dengan memperbaiki fitur pendukung transaksi seperti messaging dengan email reply, lalu SafePay, dll, maka untuk tahun kedua ini Bistip akan mencoba untuk menambah sisi konten – masih dengan metode crowdsource – dari situs mereka.

Entering Second Year, Bistip.com Focuses on Adding Content

Bistip.com, a peer to peer courier service, celebrated its first anniversary on March 11, 2012 and is entering its second year. Welcoming this anniversary, it will take no service fee for SafePay (one of the facilities for payment at Bistip a joint account).

They will not take the 2% charge for the use of SafePay facility by users for a month starting from March 9 to April 9, 2012. In addition to holding this program, Willy Ekasalim, founder of Bistip.com, also explained the focus of this startup that already has received an investment from InvestIdea. If last year its focus was on completing the marketplace facility by improving transaction support feature such as messaging via email reply, then SafePay, etc., then this second year Bistip will try to focus on adding content – still with crowdsource method – of their site.

Willy described about some examples of this content addition including Item Suggestion feature which allows user to make suggestion about interesting goods from particular location and can be used as an idea for surrogacy from other people. Examples of the application of this feature can be found here. It will also feature a display of travelers who traveled from the area where the goods are suggested. Willy said that such goods and content system that will be developed further.

New Features from BisTip.com: SafePay and Quick Message

Peer to peer courier service, Bistip.com launched two new feaatures for their users. The first one is BisTip SafePay and the second one is dealing with the messaging service called as Quick Message.

Quick Message is the feature provided for users to enable replying email from BisTip easier. Panggi Libersa from Bistip explained that this facility will enable users to send message without visiting BisTip website, they can use their email account. Further, their message will be saved in BisTip message service as an attachment on this facilitiy.

BisTip SafePay (as informed on its site since early October, but I only got informed about it few days ago), is a escrow facilities provided by BisTip for users to make payment for its delivery service as agreed by traveler and requester. Bistiper can use bank transfer system (currently, its only available for BCA) and PayPal.

Fasilitas Baru dari Bistip.com, SafePay dan Quick Message

Layanan jasa pengiriman barang peer to peer, Bistip.com meluncurkan dua fasilitas baru bagi pengguna mereka. Fasilitas pertama yaitu BisTip SafePay dan yang kedua berhubungan dengan kemudahan pengiriman pesan, Quick Message.

Untuk Quick Message, ini dalah fasilitas yang diberikan untuk para penguna agar lebih mudah untuk berbalas email yang didapatkan dari layanan BisTip. Panggi LIbersa dari BisTip menjelaskan bahwa fasilitas ini memudahkan pengguna untuk tidak selalu menuju ke situs BisTip untuk mengirimkan pesan, pengguna bisa melakukannya via email. Nantinya pesan yang terkirim akan terimpan di fasilitas pesan BisTip, pesan dalam bentuk gambar (attachment) juga bisa dilampirkan dalam fasilitas ini.

Bistip.com Gets More Positive Response and Keep Improving Its Features

Do you still remember BisTip.com? This web-based courier service that provides facilities for those who wish to entrust their items or have items entrusted to them for delivery purposes for a fee, keeps improving and got many positive response.

Based on my simple observation, at least from my Twitter account timeline, several friends who didn’t know or were not interested in using this service start to use or introduce this service on their timeline. Some of my friends are quite active on Twitter, they might be influencers for other users.

It seems that now BisTip starts to be broadly recognized and keep getting positive response. One of their “product” is the Bistipes which is the figure of the BisTip brand to whom you can entrust your item for free, is an interesting facility for the new users.

Usually users can get money from the boarding out service (based on the deal), with Bistipes, people can get free of charge service. But Bistipes will go only to some route that announced before and can be varied. Bistipes has done the route to Singapore and now is on the route from Sydney to Jakarta.

Bistip.com Semakin Dapatkan Respon Positif dan Terus Perbaharui Fitur

Masih ingat dengan BisTip.com? Layanan yang mempersilahkan para penggunanya menitip atau dititipkan barang ini terus memperbaharui diri dan semakin mendapat respon positif.

Dari pengamatan sederhana saya, setidaknya dari timeline di akun Twitter saya, beberapa teman yang sebelumnya tidak mengenal atau tau tapi belum tertarik untuk menggunakan layanan ini mulai menggunakan atau memperkenalkan layanan ini di timeline mereka. Beberapa teman saya itu cukup aktif di Twitter, yang saya perkirakan bisa juga menjadi influencer bagi pengguna lain.

Sepertinya kini BisTip mulai dikenal dengan lebih luas dan terus mendapatkan respon positif. Salah satu ‘produk’ mereka Bistipes, yang merupakan tokoh dari brand BisTip yang bisa dititipkan barang secara gratis, juga menjadi salah satu fasilitas yang menarik pengguna baru.

Jika biasanya pengguna bisa mendapatkan pemasukan dari hasil jasa titip barang (sesuai dengan penawaran atau kesepakatan), Bistipes menggratiskan biaya titip barang. Bistipes melakukan rute yang telah diberitahukan sebelumnya dan berbeda-beda, ia sudah melakukan rute ke Singapura dan saat ini sedang dalam rute Sydney – Jakarta.
