Tahun 2013 lalu merupakan tahun yang baik bagi Lazada, dari sisi perkembangan dan traffic. Apalagi event akhir tahun #Sale1212 menjadi penutupan yang manis bagi keseluruhan perkembangan Lazada, ketika ribuan pesanan masuk dalam hitungan jam khusus hari itu saja. Meski demikian layanan pusat belanja online itu tidak mau berpuas diri. Di tahun 2014 ini mereka sudah menyiapkan strategi untuk lebih berkembang, yakni fokus kepada segmen mobile dan pengembangan marketplace.

Pecahkan Rekor Penjualan, Lazada Bertekad Gelar #1212Sale Lagi di Tahun Depan

Hari Belanja Online Nasional (Harbolnas) #1212Sale yang digagas oleh Lazada bersama 20 pelaku e-commerce Indonesia berlangsung sukses. Lonjakan traffic dan penjualan menjadi tolok ukur keberhasilan gerakan #1212Sale dalam mendorong e-commerce di Indonesia. Lazada sebagai salah satu penggagas, melalui rilisnya, mengatakan bahwa rekor penjualannya berhasil dipecahkan hanya dalam satu hari rekor. Ribuan pesanan pun diterima setiap jam yang juga sempat mengakibatkan tumbangnya situs Lazada selama beberapa jam di hari tersebut.

Rocket Internet’s Lazada Silently Outgrow Local E-Commerce Incumbents

Just launched early this year, Rocket Internet’s Lazada has become of the most e-commerce site with big traffic in par with other big local players such as Blibli, Plasa, Dinomarket and even Rakuten.
