Daniel Tumiwa: “Don’t Let Steve Woz’s Visit be Another Meet and Greet”

Ahead of Steve Wozniak’s visit to Jakarta in July, Daniel Tumiwa, Country Manager of Multiply Indonesia hopes that this event won’t be another meet and greet for Wozniak’s fans. He expects that the participants will also be able to take the essence of Wozniak’s talk and learn from his experience.

As we reported earlier, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak will be coming to Indonesia on July 17. Wozniak will be a speaker at the Innovation and Creativity Seminar to be held by 3Ocean and will take place at Nusa Indah Theater, Balai Kartini, Jakarta. The seminar will discuss the innovations in the digital field and monetization of digital business. At that event, Daniel Tumiwa will also be one of the speakers.

In addition to Tumiwa, 3Ocean has a number of other Indonesian speakers planned to give talks at the event covering the subject but the names and topics are still to be confirmed.

[EVENT] Game and Entrepreneur Festival at Unika Soegijapranata

Soegijapranata Catholic University, Semarang, as one of the organizers of under graduate program in Game Technology, feels obliged to share its insight to the people of Central Java and the surrounding areas about the gaming industry. Some views on the gaming industry that considered not serious and damaging need to be clarified through socialization.

This is the underlying of Game and Entrepreneur Festival 2012 organized by Unika’s S1 program of Game Technology in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education and PT. Telkom IV Regional Division Central Java & DIY. This festival highlights the seminar with the theme “The Future of Gaming Technology and Business in Indonesia” in addition to organizing a series of Defense of the Ancients (DotA) game tournaments.

The seminar will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Thomas Aquinas Theater Building, Unika Soegijapranata, Semarang and planned to invite Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Mari Elka Pangestu as keynote speaker. Not just talking about how to create a game, there will also be representatives from Telkom to discuss the potential of games and psychologist to discuss the sub-theme “Smart with Game”.

Steve Wozniak To Visit Jakarta

In July 17, 2012, Jakarta will welcome a special guest, Steve Wozniak. This first Apple employee who is now a technology observer will be one of performers in the Innovation & Creativity seminar. This will be a rare opportunity for Indonesian people to meet directly with one of the world’s most important figures in the world of technology. Wozniak’s creativity and experience will be invaluable to learn from.

Wozniak is known as the co-founder of Apple together with Steve Jobs. Although no longer related to Apple in addition to being one of the shareholders, people will always associate him with Apple. Wozniak himself, aside from being Apple’s products’ fan is also a fan of other gadgets and whole-heartedly pay attention to technological development.

Wozniak is also known as an eccentric. Recently, Wozniak praised Windows Phone by calling it “beautiful”. Wozniak added that, even though his favorite phone is the iPhone, Windows Phone reminded him of several great things done by Apple.

Steve Wozniak Akan Datang ke Jakarta

Tanggal 17 Juli 2012, Jakarta akan kedatangan tamu istimewa, Steve Wozniak. Karyawan pertama Apple yang kini menjadi pemerhati teknologi tersebut akan menjadi salah satu pengisi acara dalam seminar Innovation & Creativity. Ini akan menjadi kesempatan langka dimana masyarakat Indonesia bisa bertemu langsung dengan salah satu tokoh penting dunia teknologi di dunia. Kreativitas dan pengalaman Wozniak akan sangat berharga untuk dipelajari.

Wozniak dikenal sebagai co-founder Apple bersama Steve Jobs. Meskipun tidak lagi terkait kepada Apple selain sebagai salah satu pemegang saham, orang akan selalu mengaitkannya dengan Apple. Event Report: SparxUp Fowab Mobile Commerce

The SparxUp Fowab Mobile Commerce seminar that is a cooperation between SparxUp Awards and FOWAB was held on February 24th, 2012. The event was held in Bandung Digital Valley (BDV).

The event was attended by over 100 people from various circles, students and developers. The event took the theme of Mobile Commerce and it presented the speaker: Pambudi Baskara (Samsung), Ivan Hudyana (blibli), from Biznet and from Onigi (previously Mysellr) as well as representatives of BDV and FOWAB.

The event was opened by Johanes Adi Purnama as representatives of BDV. In addition to explain the BDV various programs such as seminars, workshops and other activities for BDV members or public, John also explained about some opportunities that could be used by those who joined BDV.

One of these opportunities relates to Telkom AppStore consisting Flexi Market, Telkomsel Market and Speedy Market and upcoming mobile advertising platform. People who joined BDV Community can develop their products for the application store.

Acara seminar yang merupakan hasil kerja sama antara SparxUp Awards dan FOWAB dengan tema Mobile Commerce telah selesai dilaksanakan hari Sabtu 24 Februari 2012 kemarin. Acara yang dilaksanakan di Bandung Digital Valley (BDV) ini dihadiri lebih dari 100 orang.

Acara dihadiri oleh lebih dari 100 orang dari berbagai kalangan, mahasiswa serta developer. Acara yang mengambil tema Mobile Commerce ini menghadirkan pembicara Pambudi Baskara (Samsung), Ivan Hudyana (blibli) dari Biznet serta dari Onigi (dulu Mysellr) serta perwakilan dari BDV dan FOWAB.

Acara dibuka oleh Johanes Adi Purnama sebagai perwakilan dari BDV. Selain menjelaskan tentang berbagai program dari BDV, seperti yang sudah dijalankan serta yang akan dijalankan seperti seminar, workshop dan kegiatan lain baik yang diperuntukkan bagi anggota BDV atau yang akan dibuka untuk umum, Johanes juga menjelaskan tentang beberapa peluang yang bisa dimanfaatkan mereka yang tergabung di BDV.
