Berita dari NightSpade: Gyropet di mig33, RajaMusik dan Persiapan Stack The Stuff Edisi Natal

Ada beberapa kabar dari Nightspade, sebuah studio game mobile asal Bandug yang juga beberapa kali di bahas di DailySocial, baik studio dan para developer-nya maupun rilis game mereka.

Kali ini ada beberapa kabar yang saya terima dari Garibaldy Wibowo Mukti (Gerry), CMO Nightspade lewat email setelah sebelumnya bertemu di HackerSpaceBDG. Berikut beberapa info menarik dari Nightspade.

Yang pertama adalah ketersediaan game mereka di platform mig33, selain Tempa Labs, Nightspade juga ternyata telah bekerja sama dengan mig33 untuk menghadirkan game buatan studio asal Bandung ini di platform mig33. Seperti yang disebutkan Amir pada artikel ini, mig33 bulan Juli lalu meluncurkan Developer Program yang didalamnya juga termasuk para pengembang game Indonesia, salah satunya adalah Nightspade.

Nightspade Released Stack The Stuff for Android Users

Two days ago, Nightspade, a company from Bandung that develops games for mobile devices in various platforms announced via Twitter about the availability of their game for Android.

Stack The Stuff is the name of the game application that now is available for Android users. The 1.0 version from this game can be downloaded for free and needs at least Android 2.2 version. Stack The Stuff has been discussed on DailySocial for several times. One of them is related to the game/application about education.

DailySocial ever visited to Nightspade studio in Bandung and recorded the informal interview with them. Nightspade is also one of the East Ventures portfolio in game besides SoybeanSoft that recently gets investment from EV.

Stack The Stuff gets good response when it was launched. I tried to contact Garibaldy Wibowo Mukti, Nightspade Chief Marketing Officer, and he stated that Stack The Stuff game has been downloaded for about 30.000 times on iOS platform, although he didn’t mention which version it is because this game is available for free and paid version.

Nightspade Rilis Stack The Stuff Untuk Pengguna Android

Hari kemarin Nightspade, perusahaan pengembang game untuk perangkat bergerak di berbagai platform asal Bandung mengumumkan lewat Twitter tentang ketersediaan game mereka untuk perangkat Android.

Stack The Stuff nama dari aplikasi game tersebut kini tersedia bagi para pengguna Android. Versi 1.0 dari permainan ini bisa diunduh secara gratis dan membutuhkan versi Android 2.2 ke atas.

Stack The Stuff beberapa kali pernah dibahas di DailySocial, salah satunya adalah yang berhubungan dengan peluang game atau aplikasi di bidang edukasi.

DailySocial juga pernah berkunjung ke studio Nightspade di kota Bandung dan merekam video wawancara santai dengan mereka. Nightspade juga merupakan salah satu portfolio dari East Ventures di bidang game selain Soybeansoft yang baru-baru ini juga mendapatkan investasi dari EV.

Stack The Stuff pada awal peluncurannya mendapatkan animo yang cukup baik, saya mencoba mengontak Garibaldy Wibowo Mukti, Chief Marketing Officer Nightspade dan ia mengatakan bahwa untuk platform iOS, saat ini game Stack The Stuff telah mendapatkan 30.000 unduhan, meski tidak dijelaskan untuk versi mana, karena game ini tersedia versi free dan berbayar.

Notes About the Games in Top Free Apps List

In last few days, some blogs and media stated that Hiyoko and TouchTen are the in Top Free Apps in the iTunes the USA. Although it seems not yet followed by the successful of the paid version, but it is a good achievement. Previously, TouchTen also got an honor when the Google Executive Chairman mentioned Hachiko at GEPI 2011. Hachiko is also in the USA iTunes list. In my perception, Hachiko and Hiyoko has similar gameplay. Another fact is that Hiyoko is not in the chart of 20 Top Free Apps at App Store Indonesia. Is it the typical game commonly played in the USA?

Hachiko and Hiyoko has many similarities. Those game both are funny—bird and dog. They both have the same purpose that is to move the main character to the destination place. Extra rewards provided are similar to Angry Birds, to get three stars for the best score. However, the level of difficulties is little bit different and I feel that Hiyoko is harder than Hachiko.

Catatan Tentang Permainan yang Masuk Daftar Top Free Apps

Beberapa hari terakhir ini sejumlah blog dan media memberitakan bahwa Hiyoko buatan TouchTen termasuk dalam Top Free App di jajaran iTunes USA. Meskipun nampaknya belum diikuti oleh versi berbayarnya, yang jelas ini merupakan prestasi. Sebelumnya TouchTen juga mendapat kehormatan dengan disebutkannya Hachiko oleh Executive Chairman Google dalam acara GEPI 2011 lalu. Hachiko juga sempat masuk dalam jajaran list iTunes USA. Kesan saya sebenarnya Hachiko dan Hiyoko memiliki gameplay yang serupa. Fakta lain adalah Hiyoko malah tidak masuk dalam 20 besar Top Free Apps di App Store Indonesia. Apakah seperti ini tipe permainan yang disukai di USA sana?

Hachiko dan Hiyoko memiliki banyak kesamaan. Karakternya sama-sama lucu – anjing dan burung, dan mereka memiliki tujuan yang serupa, memindahkan karakter utama ke tempat aman yang telah disiapkan. Extra rewards yang tersedia serupa dengan Angry Birds, mendapatkan tiga bintang untuk skor setinggi-tingginya. Meskipun demikian, tingkat kesulitan yang disediakan sedikit berbeda dan yang saya rasakan adalah Hiyoko lebih sulit diselesaikan ketimbang Hachiko.

Nightspade’s Stack The Stuff and Application Potential in Education

Stack The Stuff is a new game that started making me addicted. Addictive because the game system is similar to Cut The Rope, where you must arrange all sorts of school supplies tools (ruler, pencil, pencil sharpener, eraser) to be balanced and can reach as many stars as possible. The special thing was the game that is universally available for the iPhone and iPad (and also be available for Android) was made by Indonesian mobile game studio based in Bandung, namely Nightspade. Nightspade, which recently gained funding from the East Ventures, indeed have the specialization to make a game on the mobile platform.

Stack The Stuff can downloaded for free and after several levels (multilevel models such as Cut The Rope or Angry Birds; 1-1, 1-2, and so on), you’ll be given the option to purchase (in-app purchase) the full version for $ 0.99. There is also the option to make donations (also in the app). I think this option is very effective because they don’t need to make two versions of the game, lite and full. Stack The Stuff seems to get a broad response globally and included in the list of New & Noteworthy in the App Store in many countries. It also earned high ratings.

Stack The Stuff dari Nightspade dan Potensi Aplikasi di Bidang Edukasi

Stack The Stuff adalah permainan baru yang mulai membuat saya ketagihan. Ketagihan karena sistem permainannya mirip dengan Cut The Rope, di mana Anda harus menyusun segala macam alat perlengkapan sekolah (penggaris, pensil, peraut pensil, penghapus) supaya bisa seimbang dan dapat menjangkau bintang sebanyak-banyaknya. Istimewanya permainan yang tersedia secara universal untuk iPhone dan iPad (dan bakal tersedia juga untuk Android) ini ternyata buatan anak negeri, yaitu Nightspade yang berbasis di Bandung. Nightspade, yang baru-baru ini mendapatkan pendanaan dari East Ventures, memang memiliki spesialisasi untuk membuat permainan di platform mobile.

Stack The Stuff dapat dengan bebas diunduh dan setelah sekian level (model levelnya bertingkat seperti Cut The Rope atau Angry Birds; 1-1, 1-2, dan seterusnya), Anda akan diberi pilihan untuk membeli versi full secara in-app seharga $0.99. Tersedia pula pilihan untuk melakukan donasi secara in-app. Pilihan ini menurut saya sangat efektif karena tidak perlu membuat dua versi permainan, lite dan full. Stack The Stuff nampaknya mendapatkan sambutan luas secara global dan termasuk dalam daftar New & Noteworthy di App Store berbagai negara. Rating yang diperolehnya pun tinggi.
