The Big 5 For Project Eden

Last Saturday, Project Eden held a pitching for the 20 participants who signed up to get funding and incubation, the event is in conjunction with a series of Bizconnect PPKI events.

From the 20 participants, eventually Project Eden committee chose the big five for closed pitch interviews session. Before this stage, Kevin Mintaraga explained that 52 participants were selected through online registration. They choose the 20 best business proposals to pitch their idea for five minutes to the Project Eden committee.

As written by Kompas.com, the five participants who passed are Bumble Games Indonesia, Telunjuk, PointBump, Arsanesia, and LocalBrand.

Kevin Mintaraga and Natali Ardianto explained via email to DailySocial, the five elected will conduct a closed pitch interview as a continuation of the initial selection, Natali said, “It could be in the first closed pitch interview we did not directly accept the startup, but we give a kind of mentorship to sharpen their business plan, we might even offer to do a pivot so the business plan become more focused, and they did another pitch interview with a business plan that has been sharpened.”

5 Pilihan Project Eden yang Masuk Tahap Akhir Seleksi

Sabtu kemarin, Project Eden mengadakan pitching bagi 20 peserta yang mendaftarkan diri untuk mendapatkan pendanaan dan inkubasi, acara ini bersamaan dengan rangkaian acara Bizconnect PPKI.

Dari 20 peserta akhirnya komite Project Eden memilih 5 besar untuk sesi closed pitch interview. Sebelum tahap ini, dijelaskan Kevin Mintaraga bahwa ada 52 peserta yang diseleksi lewat pendaftaran online, mereka memilih 20 proposal bisnis terbaik untuk pitch ide mereka selama lima menit di hadapan komite Project Eden.

Seperti yang dituliskan oleh Kompas.com, kelima peserta yang lolos adalah Bumble Games Indonesia, Telunjuk, PointBump, Arsanesia, dan LocalBrand.

Kevin Mintaraga dan Natali Ardianto menjelaskan lewat email kepada DailySocial, lima yang terpilih ini akan melakukan closed pitch interview sebagai lanjutan dari seleksi awal, Natali mengatakan bahwa, “Bisa saja dalam closed pitch interview pertama ini kita tidak langsung menerima startup, namun kami berikan semacam mentorship untuk menajamkan business plan mereka, bahkan mungkin kita tawarkan untuk melakukan pivot agar business plannya menjadi lebih fokus, dan mereka melakukan pitch interview lagi dengan business plan yang sudah dipertajam.”

Telunjuk Update: Website Renewal, Mobile Version and Query through Twitter

We haven’t talk about Telunjuk for quite sometimes and they seemed to have made some renewal to maintain their website as competitive price reference. Still using simplicity theme, Telunjuk now provides a more accurate searching.

Complaints on Garuda Indonesia’s flight search were noticed and the system seemed to be getting better (although unfortunately not always appear on all search results) and query time is quite fast. Other than that Telujuk is now experimenting by supporting return route and abroad route. For notebook and cell phone segmentation, I don’t think there are any significant changes.

Update Telunjuk: Perbarui Situs, Versi Mobile dan Query Melalui Twitter

Lama sudah kita tidak berbicara tentang Telunjuk dan ternyata sudah banyak pembaruan yang dilakukan supaya Telunjuk tetap menjadi rujukan situs pembanding harga yang kompetitif. Pembaruan pertama adalah pengubahan situs. Meskipun masih tetap dengan tema simplicity, Telunjuk telah memberikan hasil pencarian yang lebih handal.

Keluhan saat pencarian pesawat dengan Garuda Indonesia sudah mulai teratasi (meskipun sayangnya tidak selalu muncul di semua pencarian) dan waktu query-nya juga sudah lumayan cepat. Selain itu, Telunjuk saat ini juga bereksperimen dengan dukungan rute luar negeri dan rute return (pulang pergi). Untuk segmentasi notebook dan ponsel, saya rasa tidak banyak perubahan berarti.

Telunjuk: Price Comparing Website

Looks like price comparing websites are trending right now. After Tiket2 for comparing flight ticket prices, now we have Telunjuk which isn’t only comparing flight ticket prices but also notebook and cell phone’s prices and features. Generally, they have simple UI. Nothing fancy, but precisely hit the target.

On their terms page, Telunjuk explicitly called itself a search engine and not responsible for accuracy, integrity, match, change, and schedule appear on the search result page. ‘Telunjuk’ was used because the developer wishes to make users’ shopping experience as easy as using their fingers. Telunjuk (forefinger) is the most used finger to type on keyboard and clicking mouse.

Telunjuk: situs pembanding harga

Makin banyak situs pembanding harga yang muncul di pasaran. Setelah Tiket2 yang khusus membandingkan harga tiket maskapai penerbangan, hadir Telunjuk yang tak hanya membandingkan harga tiket penerbangan tapi juga harga notebook dan harga ponsel beserta fiturnya. Secara umum, tampilan UI-nya cukup sederhana, tidak fancy, tapi tepat pada sasaran.

Di halaman ketentuan penggunaan, Telunjuk secara eksplisit menyebutkan dirinya sebagai mesin pencari (search engine) dan tidak bertanggung jawab untuk akurasi, integritas, kecocokan, perubahan, dan jadwal yang ditampilkan di kolom hasil. Nama Telunjuk diambil karena pihak Telunjuk ingin membuat pengalaman berbelanja penggunanya semudah menggunakan jari-jemari. Telunjuk tentu saja adalah jari yang paling banyak digunakan untuk mengetik di keyboard atau mengklik di tetikus.
