Media online Asia Tech In Asia mengumumkan bahwa mereka baru saja menerima pendanaan sebesar $4 juta. Putaran pendanaan kali ini dipimpin oleh SB-ISAT Fund, dana investor bentukan Softbank dan Indosat yang bernilai total $50 juta. Pendanaan kali ini juga melibatkan sejumlah investor baru, seperti Co-Founder Facebook Eduardo Saverin, Walden International, Marvelstore, m&s Partners, dan Co-Founder Nitrous Andrew James Solimine. Tech in Asia Presents Asia’s Startup Database Techlist

Tech in Asia has published Techlist, a database compilation of startups in Asia, especially Southeast Asia, which helps investors to catch up with startups’ trend and growth. The freemium service took a part in 2015 Y Combinator winter batch and claimed to have already had more than 1000 Asian companies listed on its database. Layanan publikasi Tech in Asia mengumumkan kehadiran Techlist, sebuah kompilasi basisdata startup di Asia, khususnya di Asia Tenggara, untuk membantu investor men-track pergerakan dan perkembangan startup. Techlist adalah startup Asia Tenggara yang ambil bagian dalam Y Combinator batch Winter 2015. Layanan ini bersifat freemium dan diklaim telah memiliki lebih dari 1000 perusahaan Asia dalam datanya. Secara total Techlist mencatat pendanaan di Asia, yang diumumkan, sepanjang 2014 mencapai $988 juta.

Tech in Asia is on an aggressive roll following its round of funding from ~~IMJ~~ Fenox VC recently. After having swallowed Singapore based blog SGE, today it officially announced its acquisition of Indonesian mobile gaming blog GameSaku from Apps Foundry. The Singapore-based tech blog is kickstarting a new property covering the games industry in the region and it will build the new blog from this acquisition.

Tech in Asia Acquires Singapore Startup Blog SGE

Asia’s technology blogging space has been snowballing and with the arrival of International blogs such as TheNextWeb and TechCrunch into the region, competition has been getting quite fierce. Blogs which used to be independent are now either affiliated or acquired. It doesn’t matter if it’s a new blog or a long-timer, it’s about the execution and the best executors get to stick around. This morning, Tech in Asia announced that it has acquired Singapore’s SGE for an undisclosed sum.

East Venture’s Latest Investment: Penn-Olson.com

Penn-Olson officially announced that they are now funded by East Ventures.

The news didn’t come as a surprise for me, because I can say I’ve seen it coming since Jakarta Ventures Night on March 21, 2011.

Along with time, I’ve discussed it with Rama and Aulia, and even though we had no solid evidence at that moment but everyone agreed that East Venture’s (EV) process in funding Penn-Olson.com can be seen from days away.

Finally the news of Penn-Olson being funded by EV appeared few days ago, but still not official. Willis Wee, founder and CEO of Penn-Olson wrote a little disclosure in their article on Tokopedia, and today official release was sent through email to Daily Social, confirming that east Ventures has invested in Penn-Olson.com, and the amount of funding is not disclosed.

Investasi Terbaru East Ventures: Penn-Olson.com

Penn-Olson mengumumkan secara resmi, bahwa mereka mendapatkan pendanaan dari East Ventures.

Berita ini sama sekali tidak mengejutkan bagi saya, terus terang saya sudah melihat dan memprediksikan berita ini sejak Jakarta Ventures Night yang diadakan beberapa waktu lalu, lebih tepatnya 21 Maret 2011.

Seiring berjalan waktu, saya mendiskusikan hal ini dengan Rama dan Aulia, meski belum memiliki ‘bukti’ nyata, tetapi masing-masing dari kami menyetujui, proses East Ventures (EV) mendanai Penn-Olson.com telah terlihat jauh-jauh hari.

Akhirnya berita Penn-Olson didanai oleh EV muncul beberapa hari yang lalu, namun belum resmi, Willis Wee, founder dan CEO Penn-Olson menuliskan sedikit pengungkapan pada artikel tentang Tokopedia, dan hari ini, rilis resmi dikirimkan lewat email pada DailySocial yang menegaskan bahwa East Ventures berinvestasi di Penn-Olson.com, jumlah pendanaan tidak disebutkan.
