Kaskus untuk iOS Diperbarui, Masih Banyak Bug di Sana-Sini

Bekerja sama dengan Apps Foundry, Kaskus sebagai platform forum terbesar di Indonesia meluncurkan aplikasi resmi untuk iOS secara unversal dan bekerja untuk iPhone dan iPad. Dengan persyaratan minimal iOS 3.0, saya yakin masih dapat bekerja dengan handset versi lama, misalnya iPhone 3G atau bahkan iPhone generasi pertama. Apps Foundry kita kenal sebagai pembuat sejumlah aplikasi mobile ternama, seperti Scoop untuk iPad.

Saya tidak ingat kapan Kaskus pernah meluncurkan aplikasi untuk iOS tapi aplikasi yang sekarang sudah memiliki versi 2.0, di mana berdasarkan laman iTunes-nya, selain penambahan dukungan terhadap iPad, versi baru ini mengklaim memberikan perbaikan terhadap sejumlah bug dan peningkatan performa. Sebelumnya Kaskus juga sudah memiliki aplikasi untuk platform BlackBerry, Java dan Symbian.

Download Aplikasi DS untuk Windows Phone 7

Setelah kami meluncurkan aplikasi Dailysocial di Android dan Nokia, kini dengan bantuan dari RadyaLabs kami juga meluncurkan aplikasi DailySocial untuk platform Windows Phone 7. Jadi selain melalui perangkat Nokia yang sekarang ada, nantinya OS WP7 juga akan tersedia di perangkat smartphone yang dirilis oleh Nokia.

Melalui aplikasi ini anda bisa membaca konten terbaru Dailysocial (of course), namun anda juga bisa menyimpan konten DS untuk dibaca secara offline. Anda juga bisa melihat list topik/kategori, sharing artikel melalui email dan twitter dan juga anda bisa terus update mengenai lowongan kerja yang ada di DS Jobs.

Aplikasi ini tersedia secara cuma-cuma, dan in my personal opinion … it’s beautiful 🙂

Koprol Sudah Punya Aplikasi untuk PlayBook?

Koprol hari ini meluncurkan frontpage baru mereka dalam rangka membuat daya tarik yang mendunia dan memulai disain ulang yang telah lama dinantikan untuk memudahkan dan membersihkan interface situs mereka. Mengikuti sebuah petunjuk desain yang dimulai dari tampilan untuk layar sentuh, kini tampilan keseluruhan telah dibawa ke tampilan situs yang lebih besar dan hari ini, kita bisa melihat bahwa hal tersebut telah dibawa ke aplikasi mendatang namun belum diumumkan yang ditampilkan di Playbook.

Satya Witoelar dan Aryo Kresnadi dari Koprol memuat beberapa foto yang berbeda di akun Koprol mereka untuk menunjukkan tampilan aplikasi baru tersebut. Karena keduanya masih belum menanggapi pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang diajukan mengenai foto-foto tersebut, maka masih belum jelas apakah aplikasi tersebut merupakan aplikasi web yang ditujukan bagi piranti tablet secara umum atau hanya untuk PlayBook. Dari tampak depan fotonya, cenderung terlihat sebagai aplikasi web, bukannya sebuah native app, namun kita akan informasikan lebih lanjut bila atau ketika mereka memberitahu.

Koprol has a PlayBook app already?

Koprol today launched its new front page in a move to internationalize its appeal and kick start its long-awaited redesign to simplify and clean up its interface. Following a design cue that began with the touch-oriented mobile site, the overall look was carried over to the larger site and today, we see that it has been brought over to the upcoming yet unannounced application shown on the PlayBook.

Koprol’s Satya Witoelar and Aryo Kresnadi both posted different photos to their respective Koprol accounts showing what the new app looks like. As neither have yet to respond to queries about the photos, it’s unclear whether the app is a web app meant for tablets in general or if it’s a specific application for the PlayBook. From that single front-on shot, it looks more like a web application instead of a native app but we’ll find out if or when they let us know.

We’d also like to know what’s going on with the long-awaited iPhone app. Late last year we were informed that the iPhone app was in concurrent development with the Android app but apparently that has changed and is now scheduled to be released after the Android app. We’re also hearing that its development had been handed over to Singapore, whether it’s Yahoo!’s developers in Singapore or an external developer, we’ve yet to find out.

Mengintip Aplikasi Tasterous Untuk BlackBerry

DailySocial mendapatkan rilis awal dari aplikasi Tasterous untuk BlackBerry pagi ini, Amir Karimuddin dan Rahmat Harlyadi sedang mencoba aplikasi ini dengan perangkat masing-masing, Amir dengan Storm, sementara Rahmat dengan nya Bold 2, (atau Bold 3? Well, dia punya keduanya).

Anyway, kami akan meng-update artikel tentang Tasterous nanti dengan pengalaman menggunakan aplikasi ini serta informasi lanjutan dari Tasterous sendiri. Pada percobaan kali ini, karena merupakan rilis awal, masih ada beberapa bug yang perlu ditangani, tetapi Tasterous sedang memperbaiki aplikasi mereka dan menyiapkan kejutan lain sebagai persiapan peluncuran. Sambil menunggu rilis resmi mereka, silahkan menikmati beberapa screenshot dari aplikasi Tasterous untuk BlackBerry.

Early Look at Tasterous’ BlackBerry App

We were provided with an early release of Tasterous‘ BlackBerry app this morning and right now, our own Amir Karimuddin and Rahmat Harlyadi are going through the app with their respective devices, Amir with his Storm while Rahmat with his Bold 2, (or is it 3? he’s got both) Anyway, we’ll update the post with their feedback, comments, and impressions of the app. As it is an early release, there are still some bugs that need to be addressed. In the meantime, enjoy these photos.

Koprol’s Mobile Manifesto Begins

As i suspected, the Yahoo acquisition helps Koprol land deal more smoothly especially with big brands. As Aulia Masna hinted, Koprol can actually cut a deal with Nexian, a mid-low handheld manufacturer with strong features and 25% market share. Recently Nexian launched Journey which is powered by Android, introducing a sophisticated modern mobile platform to a mid-lower level consumer.

This could actually be a good move for both Koprol and Nexian, Koprol gets more exposure to potential user and Nexian can get more localized app. Which can set them apart from their competitors such as Nokia and Samsung.

Telkomsel Breaks The Device Boundary with Appzone

Telkomsel, one of the biggest telco provider in Indonesia today announced Appzone. As the name suggests, Appzone is an application marketplace where Telkomsel subscriber can download various apps regardless the devices they’re using. Appzone provides applications for Blackberries, iPhones and Java-based apps for Nokia and Sony-Ericsson users. So every Telkomsel users from any devices will have the privileges to enjoy these apps.

Applications showcased on Appzone now not only consist of free apps, some apps are also came with a price tag between IDR 8000 – 20.000, which is very affordable.

This is another alternative for Telkomsel subscriber other than the app offered by their manufacturer like iPhone App Store, Blackberry App World, or Android Marketplace. In terms of competition with other app-market, it is less likely to compete with other marketplace since it’s very exclusive and so far it didn’t gain enough traction from independent developers. It is most likely that Telkomsel have a deal with their software developer partners to develop mobile apps for AppZone.
