Profitlook Launches Its Free Version, Holds Accounting Course for Free

Profitlook launches its free version. This cloud computing based accounting app is now available for SMEs owners without having to pay any license fee. Parallel with the launching of this free version, Profitlook also announces the delivery of a free accounting course which will be held every Saturday/Sunday starting July 21, 2012.

Certainly when compared to its paid version, free version of Profitlook has some limitations. Among them, the amount of transaction is limited up to IDR100,000,000 or 500 transactions. This free version also doesn’t provide monitoring through smartphone feature. Other features that is also not available is the online support, consultation, archive management and yearly closing features. In addition, this free version also not includes multi branches support and auto consolidation features which are only available for the pro-multi version.

Profitlook suggests for this app to be accessed using Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari and Google Chrome. For the time being, this app cannot work properly on Internet Explorer.

LintasArta Strengthens Cloud Computing Service

LintasArta strengthens cloud computing service in collaboration with its subsidiary, PT. Lintas Media Danawa (LMD). LintasArta which previously offered Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) solution, is now offering Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that is marketed by LMD. The service is more complete with network service which is LintasArta’s business.

IaaS is an infrastructure “rental” service such as data center, storage, hardware, and server for businesses. While SaaS is a software or system “rental” service such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), human resource information system (HRIS), points of sales (POS) and so on.

VAS Commerce General Manager of LintasArta, Teddy Sis Herdianto, as cited by IndoTelko, explains that the cloud market in Indonesia in 2012 will increase in line with the business increase and growing national economic. The companies will be more daring to expand the products and locations throughout the entire archipelago. This will create increase of the need for ICT companies. The companies are optimistic to offer cloud computing technology to various industrial sectors.

Indonesia Cloud Forum Declares Indonesia Cloud Computing Association

The other day, two associations related to technological information industry were declared in Indonesia. In addition to Indonesia E-commerce Association which is formed by a variety of e-commerce companies in Indonesia, it was also declared the establishment of Asosiasi Forum Komputasi Awan Indonesia – Indonesia Forum of Cloud Computing Association (AFKAI). AFKAI was declared by Indonesian Cloud Forum (ICF) in between opening event of ICT Expo-Indocomm 2012.

Teguh Prasetya, initiator of ICF, as quoted from an article in IndoTelko, said that ICF was to improve the status from a forum to an association. AFKAI is expected to be able to become one of the driving forces of the use of cloud computing as one of national economics activator.

ICF actually has been established since May 25, 2011. ICF is an independent and professional institution committed to continue educating the public and stakeholders about the importance of the implementation of cloud computing. ICF regularly organizes educational events, seminars, discussions, exhibitions, as well as professional certification. These activities will be intensified in the 2012.
