Situs Group Buying asal Hawaii Diluncurkan di Indonesia dengan nama Maiplay

Setelah kabar ‘panas’ atas masuknya Groupon ke Indonesia dengan mengakuisisi Disdus, kini kembali hadir situs group buying lain yang ingin ambil bagian dari kue layanan group buying. Bertempat di klub Dragonfly di Jakarta, Maiplay resmi meluncurkan layanan mereka di Indonesia.

Maiplay telah beroperasi sejak tahun 2009 di Amerika Serikat sebagai PlayHawaii, menyediakan penawaran dari ratusan merchant dalam berbagai kategori termasuk penawaran dari restoran/bar, spa/salon, olahraga, kegiatan, pengiriman, hiburan, layanan lain. Di Asia, perusahaan ini didukung oleh sepuluh investor swasta (sisa kalimat dihilangkan). Maiplay beroperasi di Singapura dan Indonesia, dengan Jakarta dan Bali sebagai kota-kota perdana layanan mereka di Indonesia.

Hawaiian Group-buying Site Launches in Indonesia as Maiplay

Hot on the heels of Groupon entering Indonesia through its acquisition of Disdus, in comes another collective buying site looking to grab a share of the pie. Maiplay officially launched its Indonesian service today at the posh Dragonfly club in Jakarta.

Maiplay has been operating since 2009 in the United States as PlayHawaii, offering deals across hundreds of merchants in various categories including restaurant/bar, spa/salon, sports, activities, shipping, entertainment, another services. In Asia, the company is backed by ten private investors (rest of line removed). It operates in Singapore and Indonesia, with Jakarta and Bali as the inaugural Indonesian cities.

Disdus Travel Now Available

As expected, Disdus add new category on their service. As written in, previously Disdus added new category or division for gadget offers, called Disdus Gadget. Now we can access travel offers at Disdus.com/travel.

Looking at Disdus’ twitter account search result, this service is accessible since 6 days ago. From their website it can be seen that there’s only one offer for Disdus Travel. Like gadget category, access for Disdus Travel can be found on its main page, on right side banner or users can directly type Disdus.com/travel.

GantiBaju and DealKeren strike up a deal

If you visit DealKeren’s website, you will immediately see their current deal with GantiBaju – an Indonesian Threadless clone with a unique touch. GantiBaju, the #1 winner of our own SparxUp Awards 2010, strike up a deal with one of Indonesia’s biggest daily deal site, DealKeren. DealKeren is a part of a daily deal site networks together with Ensogo Thailand and Ensogo Philippines and currently taking off with a big traction in Indonesia.

The deal between DealKeren and GantiBaju was a regular daily deal discount thingy, but this particular deal lasts longer than the usual one day deal. Urbanesia Starts Pushing UrPoints, Strike A Deal With DealKeren

For long, Urbanesia have implemented UrPoints, a reward feature for user who add venues, leave comments, rate venues and other social activity on the location-based site. And for long, UrPoints is not an interesting feature to trigger activity on the recently funded website. Usually, UrPoints are exchanged for discounts for concert tickets supported by Urbanesia.

But after a while, Urbanesia finally introduce a feature where user can exchange their UrPoints with an actual deal/promo. A partnership deal with DealKeren is officially implemented on the website where users can now have a purpose for getting more UrPoints.
