Event: Gedebuk – Main dan Belajar Game Sepuasnya

Komunitas Game Developer Buka-bukaan (Gedebuk) bekerja sama dengan pengembang game asal Bandung, Agate Studio menggelar acara bertajuk Gedebuk. Acara ini akan diselenggarakan di lantai 3, Bandung Indah Plaza, 17-18 Maret 2012 besok.

Dalam acara ini pengunjung akan disuguhi berbagai macam permainan. Selain permainan digital, pengunjung bisa menikmati bermain boardgame (permainan dengan papan seperti monopoli), juga berbagai permainan dalam telepon seluler. Tidak hanya bermain, pengunjung juga bisa menambah pengetahuannya tentang berbagai hal berkaitan dengan pembuatan game.

iMulai 4.0, IT Business Innovation Competition for Indonesian Innovators

iMulai, a national business innovation competition sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Microsoft Indonesia, has been reopened. Through a news release, USAID and Microsoft Indonesia invite new companies and innovators in Indonesia to attend the competition in its fourth year of implementation.

The competition is in the form of business innovation competition. Participants may be individuals or companies who have an information and communication technology based idea or prototype or business innovation that commercially run. Types of innovation can be a business application that runs n desktop, web and mobile.

iMulai 4.0, Kompetisi Inovasi Bisnis IT untuk Inovator Indonesia

iMulai, kompetisi inovasi bisnis berskala nasional yang disponsori oleh Badan Pembangunan Internasional Amerika Serikat (USAID) dan Microsoft Indonesia, telah dibuka kembali. Melalui rilis beritanya, USAID dan Microsoft Indonesia, mengundang perusahaan baru dan inovator Indonesia, untuk mengikuti kompetisi yang tahun ini merupakan penyelenggaraan keempatnya.

Kompetisi ini berbentuk kompetisi inovasi bisnis. Peserta bisa merupakan perseorangan atau perusahaan yang memiliki ide atau prototipe atau inovasi bisnis yang berbasis teknologi infomasi dan komunikasi yang sudah berjalan secara komersial. Jenis inovasinya bisa berupa aplikasi bisnis yang berjalan baik di desktop, web, maupun mobile.

eEvent Dapatkan Pendanaan Pre-seed dari TechColumbus Sebesar $250k

Kami baru saja mendapatkan informasi bahwa eEvent yang merupakan salah satu pemenang SparxUp Awards 2010, telah mengumumkan kesepakatan pendanaan pre-seed dari TechColumbus. Mereka mendapatkan dana segar sebesar $250k untuk mengembangkan usaha dan memberikan kesempatan untuk para foundernya fokus mengembangkan pasar di tengah persaingan yang ketat antara platform event online besar yang ada.

Di tengah tahun 2011, kami juga menuliskan berita tentang eEvent dan kerja sama strategis mereka dengan inkubator teknologi Ideosource untuk busineess mentorship dan menguatkan pondasi eEvent sebagai sebuah perusahaan. Meskipun eEvent berbasis di Columbus, Ohio namun perusahaan ini dijalankan sebagian besar oleh orang Indonesia sebelum akhirnya resmi hadir di Jakarta tahun lalu. eEvent juga menjadi satu-satunya perusahaan teknologi di Indonesia yang melakuan pitch di acara Launch Conference milik Jason Calacanis awal tahun 2011.

eEvent closes $250k pre-seed funding from TechColumbus

We just learned that 2010 SparxUp winner company eEvent just secured a pre-seed round of funding from TechColumbus. They cleared a $250k fresh capital to further expand their company and let all founders to focus on developing the market in the middle of a stiff competition between big online event platforms available. eEvent was actually a spin-off from eSolutech, an IT consultant firm founded by Andi Sie who now stepped down and focuses on eEvent’s operations.

BlackBerry Casual Meetup Pertama Telah Berlangsung di Bandung, Kota Lain Menyusul

BlackBerry Casual Meetup 2012 yang pertama telah selesai diadakan di Bandung, hari Sabtu tanggal 3 Maret 2012 kemarin. Acara yang diselengarakan di kafe – sesuai dengan konsep acaranya ini berhasil mengumpulkan lebih dari 50 peserta, yang terdiri dari mahasiswa, umum serta para developer.

Acara di Bandung ini juga menjadi acara pembuka roadshow casual meetup yang akan diadakan juga diberbagai kota di Indonesia, Malang, Yogyakarta, Jakarta dan Bali.

Untuk yang di Bandung acara diadakan di Vanilla Kitchen & Wine dan diadakan dari pagi sampai sore hari, dengan menghadirkan 3 pembicara serta 2 demo produk atau showcase. Acara juga dihadiri oleh perwakilan RIM yang membuka acara dengan kata sambutannya.

Jason Sounderson – Director Government Relations dalam sambutan singkatnya menekankan beberapa hal, terutama yang berhubungan dengan lingkungan pengembangan aplikasi serta peran developer. Masih berhubungan dengan developer, Jason juga memberikan informasi bahwa pada hari yang sama (sore hari) RIM dan ITB mengumumkan akan bekerja sama dengan ITB untuk pusat riset dan pengembangan aplikasi, dan berencana juga untuk bekerja sama dengan universitas lain.

BlackBerry Casual Held First Meetup in Bandung, Other Cities Follow

The 1st BlackBerry Casual Meetup 2012 was held in Bandung, on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012. The event was held at the cafe – according to the show concept show, this event was able to collect more than 50 participants, from students, public general and developers.

Bandung event has also become the opening act for casual meetup road-shows to be held in various cities in Indonesia such as Malang, Yogyakarta, Jakarta and Bali.

This event was held in Vanilla Kitchen & Wine from morning until late afternoon. This event was presenting three speakers and two demo products or showcase. The event was also attended by RIM representatives who opened the event with his speech.

Jason Sounderson – Director of Government Relations in a brief speech emphasizing some things, especially those related to application development environment and the role of developer. Still in touch with the developer, Jason also gave information that at the same day (late afternoon), ITB and RIM would announce a cooperation for the centre research and development applications; they also plans to collaborate with other universities.

Coming Soon, “GeekFest: Celebrate the New Rock Stars!”

Last Thursday, FOWAB and Kibar Kreasi officially announced GeekFest: Celebrate the New Rock Stars! The event was announced at a press conference at the SAE Institute, fX Lifestyle X’nter, Jakarta.

GeekFest is a festival that combines music, movies, games, and multimedia technology. GeekFest also aims to raise Indonesian youngsters creative work related to technology and the people behind the scenes of the work or product.

The event will be held on 31st March 2012- 1st April 2012 at the Sasana Budaya Ganesha in Bandung. The event will invite various communities in Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Malang.

Performers who will be present on the stage include, among others, Jogja Hiphop Foundation, Bottlesmoker, Windyasari, Openlabs, Hellomotion, Saung Angklung Udjo, Hebring (Main Studios), Pet Shop Box, Homogenic, Ableton Live User Group Indonesia, Project Breed, Fat Pupa, Jogjaforce, iPhonesia, Movieholic, Indie Research, Photon Project and Midi Data .

Segera Hadir, “GeekFest: Celebrate the New Rock Stars!”

FOWAB dan Kibar Kreasi, hari ~~ini~~ Kamis kemarin mengumumkan secara resmi gelaran acara yang diberi nama GeekFest: Celebrate the New Rock Stars! Pengumuman resmi ini dilaksanakan melalui acara konferensi pers di SAE Institute, fX Senayan, Jakarta.

GeekFest sendiri merupakan sebuah festival yang mengkolaborasikan musik, ~~film~~ video, game dan mutimedia ke dalam sebuah wadah teknologi. GeekFest bertujuan juga untuk mengangkat karya kreativitas anak muda Indonesa yang berkaitan dengan teknologi serta orang dibalik layar dari karya atau produk tersebut.

Acara ini akan diselenggarakan pada tanggal tanggal 31 Maret 2012 – 1 April 2012 di Sasana Budaya Ganesha, Bandung. Acara ini mengajak berbagai komunitas seperti di Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya dan Malang. Notes on IDOC 2012: Discussion On Challenges, Success Stories and Development Potentials on iOS

ID-ObjectiveConference 2012 (IDOC 2012) had concluded a while ago but there was an interesting discussion that I wanted to note from the sharing session at the event.

IDOC 2012 conference was intended for developers who want to develop applications in iOS ecosystem and for those who are interested in the iOS development. The event’s title is “Getting Started with iOS development” and is intended as an initial stage and the introduction for the participants (some participants are the developers).

In addition, there were technical materials submitted by the speakers (you can view the complete coverage of the event here or here). During the discussion session, the panelists spoke about the business aspects of application development.

The panelists were by R. Ayu Maulidina I (STI), Andri Yadi (Dycode), Aulia Masna (DailySocial), Noor Muhammad Sumyandityo (Guava Games), Finan Akbar (Beetlebox) and Anton Soeharyo (Touch Ten), moderated by Rama Mamuaya, founder of DailySocial.
