Sinar Mas Digital Ventures Led an Investment Round for Thailand-Based Omise

Sinar Mas Digital Ventures (SMDV) led an investment round worth up to $2,6 million (around Rp34 billion) intended for Thailand-based Omise. East Ventures, 500 Tuktuks (500 Startups’ special fund for Thailand), and True also joined the round. LINE Life Global Gateway is Open for Indonesian Startups

LINE messenger just announced that they are about to broaden their network by launching the “LINE Life Global Gateway” program with no less than 5 bill yen (around 42 mill dollars) at their disposal. LINE Corp, the parent of LINE messenger, suggested that the money will go to investment towards companies which serve online-to-offline (o20), e-commerce, payment, media, and entertainment services. Official: Yahoo! to Shut Its Office in Indonesia by The End of This Year

All those rumours finally come into reality. Yahoo has confirmed that they will shut their offices in several Southeast Asian countries, including the one in Indonesia by the end of this year. The trend has been started, as TechCrunch reported, by the closing of the office in Ho Chi Minh City in the third quarter of this year. Hanya tiga Founder atau CEO dari empat belas perusahaan yang berpartisipasi di Startup Battlefield yang menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebagai bahasa utama. Mereka berasal dari Austria, Belgia, Kroasia, Republik Ceko, Irlandia, Finlandia, Perancis, Jerman, Israel, Rusia, Amerika Serikat, dan Inggris. Grammar mereka belepotan, tapi punya kosa kata yang cukup kaya. Kelihatan mereka sudah sering presentasi menggunakan bahasa Inggris, karena mereka tidak terlihat canggung lagi. Kebanyakan perusahaan sudah mendapat funding, ada yang sudah mendapat investasi hingga $1 juta atau bahkan lebih.
