AB Kinnevik dan dan Rocket Internet termasuk dalam investor di putaran ini.  Layanan PricePanda tersedia di Malaysia, Filipina, Indonesia, Singapura, dan Meksiko dan telah beroperasi sejak pertengahan tahun 2012.

Outrage Over Announcement That Path Accepted Investment from Bakrie Group

I’ve only been up for about an hour this Saturday morning and a huge news dropped courtesy of Kara Swisher on Re/Code. Something that I suspected back in November came to reality. Indonesia’s Bakrie Group, run by conglomerate Anindya Bakrie, led a USD 25 million investment in Path. Path CEO Dave Morin had made two trips to Indonesia in the past three months (most recently last week) and it quickly bore fruit.

Layanan crowdfunding yang memfasilitasi investasi startup Bigcolors bakal memperluas pasarnya ke Indonesia tahun ini. Di paruh pertama tahun 2014, seperti dikutip dari TechCrunch, Indonesia termasuk dalam negara-negara Asia Pasifik yang menjadi lahan incaran Bigcolors — yang berbasis di Hong Kong. Sebelumnya Bigcolors sudah memasuki pasar Singapura bulan Desember yang lalu dan membuka layanannya di Thailand bulan Januari ini.

Layanan E-Commerce Fashion Zalora Kembali Dapatkan Investasi, Kali Ini Dari Access Industries

Perusahaan e-commerce bidang fashion binaan Rocket Internet, Zalora, kembali memperoleh investasi. Bersama dengan situs Rocket Internet lain yaitu The Iconic yang beroperasi di Australia dan Selandia Baru, Zalora memperoleh pendanaan $112 juta (lebih dari Rp 1,3 triliun) dari Access Industries. Sebelumya Access Industries juga ambil bagian dalam konsorsium yang memberikan pendanaan $500 juta untuk Rocket Internet dan mereka mengkonfirmasi dana kali ini adalah di luar scope $500 juta tersebut.

Traveloka Dapatkan Pendanaan Seri A dari Global Founders Capital

Traveloka mengumumkan perolehan pendanaan Seri A (Series A) dari Global Founders Capital dengan nominal yang tidak disebutkan. Global Founders Capital merupakan perusahaan investasi milik grup Rocket Internet dan pendanaan ini menjadikan Traveloka sebagai pendanaan pertamanya di Asia. Global Founders Capital dikelola oleh Samwer bersaudara dan Fabian Segel — yang terakhir adalah pendiri layanan pemesanan makanan online Delivery Hero. Traveloka sendiri September ini tepat berusia satu tahun.

Lately I’ve been paying attention to the latest hostile move by government towards seed investment from foreign companies in Indonesia. If you try to raise money for your startup with less than $250,000 in capital, from foreign investors, you’re going to have a bad time. Although there’s no specific regulation that binds this, it seems that this shadow regulation has been taken into effect for the past few months.
