Joint-Venture Dengan MediaCorp, BrideStory Resmi Ekspansi ke Singapura

Kevin Mintaraga, CEO Bridestory / DailySocialKami baru saja menerima berita bahwa startup marketplace vendor pernikahan, Bridestory, telah resmi menjalin kerjasama joint-venture dengan raksasa media asal Singapura, MediaCorp. Joint-venture ini dikukuhkan melalui pembentukan situs Bridestory.com.sg, meskipun sampai saat artikel ini ditulis masih diarahkan ke situs asli Bridestory.com.

Sejak didirikan pada awal 2014 silam, Bridestory saat ini telah memiliki 10 ribu vendor pernikahan yang bergabung di marketplace-nya, dan ditambah angka kunjungan bulanan yang mencapai 250 ribu. Pendiri dan CEO, Kevin Mintaraga melalui rilis resmi berkata, “Sarana media mereka yang begitu luas dapat membantu Bridestory untuk menjangkau pasar di Singapura dan negara sekitarnya.”

Hal ini juga menandai kali kedua MediaCorp menjalin kerjasama strategis dengan startup asal Indonesia, setelah beberapa bulan lalu raksasa media tersebut mengakuisisi 52% kepemilikan dari KapanLagi Networks, salah satu jaringan media online terbesar di Indonesia. Didirikan oleh Kevin Mintaraga dan Emile Etienne, Bridestory memiliki dukungan luar biasa dari barisan investor kelas atas seperti Beenos Plaza, East Ventures, Fenox Capital, Midplaza Group, Sovereign Capital, Rocket Internet Group, Skystar Capital dan Lippo Digital Ventures.

Kevin juga sempat berbagi tips di seri video DScussion mengenai bagaimana membangun marketplace niche, cara menarik investor ke startup anda, dan rencana ekspansi Bridestory.

 

Wedding Startup Bridestory Strikes A Joint-Venture Deal With MediaCorp, Expands To Singapore

We just received news that Jakarta-based wedding startup Bridestory just strike a joint-venture deal with Singapore media behemoth, MediaCorp. The joint-venture will be called Bridestory.com.sg, although by the time this article is written it’s still redirected to its original site, Bridestory.com.

Since its founding in early 2014, Bridestory has 10.000 wedding vendors joining their site, while just over 250k monthly visitors to their site. Founder and CEO, Kevin Mintaraga said in a statement, “MediaCorp’s vast media reach can help Bridestory grasp Singapore wedding market and its surroundings”.

This marks the second big partnership by MediaCorp with an Indonesian startup after the media giant acquired 52% of KapanLagi Network, one of Indonesia’s largest online media company, just a few months ago. Bridestory, founded by Kevin Mintaraga and Emile Etienne, is backed by top-notch VC lineup from Beenos Plaza, East Ventures, Fenox Capital, Midplaza Group, Sovereign Capital, Rocket Internet Group, Skystar Capital and Lippo Digital Ventures.

He confidently said that his focus is to be the best in wedding market, then later he would consider about other business verticals, like honeymoon. Bridestory Grabs Series A Funding from Rocket Internet Group

Indonesia’s online wedding marketplace Bridestory has received an undisclosed amount of Series A funding from Rocket Internet Group. Beside Rocket Internet Group, this investment round is followed by their previous investors, namely Sovereign’s Capital, East Ventures, and Fenox VC. Two new investors are joining this round. They are Skystar Capital and Lippo Digital Ventures. With this investment, Bridestory is ready for international expansion.
